The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallMy first time dining there. Food was fantastic, venue very stylish loved the atmosphere, the only downside was the waitress never smiled and when we asked how big the tapas dishes were she didn't give us an answer just said small/medium ish also got the receipt and the 20% hadn't been knocked off and there was no apology either. I always think good customer service is key
CDJ Riverside Bar and Kitchen – DarwenGreat food, good atmosphere, good selection of beers and excellent service. Glad it's open again and will be back.
Griffins Head Bar and Grill – AccringtonWe enjoyed our meal. My husband had the Spanish hash which he enjoyed. The kitchen very kindly made me a prawn cocktail at my request. But some of prawns tasted particularly fishy & 2 small leaves of lettuce doesn’t make a salad. However, it’s my fault for asking for it when it wasn’t on the menu so no blame. Would though put this dish on the menu? A bit of tomato & more lettuce. Pineapple works really well too. It’s just a suggestion. My fish pie was lovely & the vegetables were yummy My husband had the lamb shank. He enjoyed it immensely. He couldn’t eat it all but it made him a very nice sandwich the day after. The Pinot was good. Would you think of perhaps of selling a Chenin blanch by the glass. Still our favourite place to eat.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleSunday evening meal, was not the same standard that we enjoyed on a previous end of week lunch. Maybe different chef?
The Traders Arms – Blackburnvisited yesterday for the first time couldn't recommend it enough food was excellent best Sunday we have had staff really friendly and helpful lovely old style country pub will definitely be booking again
The Shepherds Rest Inn – TodmordenA spur of the moment online booking that was well worth it. The staff were warmly welcoming and very efficient. I had booked early as I don’t cope with crowds. The service was amazing. As soon as I had chosen, my order was taken. Food arrived promptly and was delicious. The parsnip & celeriac soup was perfectly seasoned. Best I’ve had in a very long time. I chose the roast beef Sunday dinner and thoroughly enjoyed every bite. I highly recommend the 3 Millstones. It wasn’t my first visit and definitely will not be my last.
3 Millstones Inn – ClitheroeExcellent Sunday lunch served by friendly staff. We will return.
The Traders Arms – BlackburnAmazing place, food was perfect, atmosphere lovely and staff were so polite and friendly. Definitely recommend and will definitely be back soon. Reasonably priced to for what you get! Thankyou for a lovely dinner.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallWe love it here! We frequently dine at the pub when visiting our daughter at university. It’s a family favourite! Highly recommend!
Wagon and Horses – LancasterHave eaten here many times and the food is always excellent. Two for £10 tapas on Thursday is excellent value. Lovely welcome and excellent service. We will be back soon.
Bread and Butter – PrestonThere was 9 of us and most of the meals were good but we had a long so when the food finally arrived one meal was just warm and another was over cooked and quite dry. The service was slow but there only seemed to be the one waitress? Also they had run out of a lot of things… No chunky chips, no prawns, no port etc. On the whole we enjoyed the food and atmosphere but these few niggles could have been avoided and the experience made even better. We will give it another go though.
The Traders Arms – BlackburnLovely food. Great service. Warm welcome in a cosy setting. Thank you.
Griffins Head Bar and Grill – AccringtonI had booked an evening meal at the Sultan for my wife and I. I had booked it for 7pm but due to our bus into town running faultlessly with very few stops we got into town early. We decided that seeing it was a Thursday they would be quiet so it wouldn't be a problem. We got there and there were a few tables with couples on but be also one huge table with around 30 young men . We were still welcomed and led to our table. The service was great even taking into account the work that must have been going on in the kitchen etc. Our starters and main meals were very nice and I highly recommend the Sultan to anyone who loves Asian food.
Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterLovely food with beautiful presentation. Greet service too.
Bread and Butter – PrestonOur first visit to this lovely old pub. Comfortable seating in a warm bright room. The staff were helpful & efficient & our food was delivered fairly quickly. We both ordered the venison dish, it was delicious, tender meat in a tasty jus, dauphinoise potatoes & fresh veg. Sooo good. Would've liked a few more veg, otherwise perfect.
3 Millstones Inn – ClitheroeI visited, yesterday, with a friend, for lunch. It was superb!! Greeted by a friendly member of staff, who seated us. We got our drinks straight away, no waiting. The food was fabulous. I got a hot beef, onion and stilton baguette, with chips (very generous). It was incredibly good. My friend got the tuna melt baguette, again it looked really good, she enjoyed it. Reasonably priced, good food, friendly, welcoming staff...well worth a visit. Definately going back. Thankyou. 5 stars!!!
