The atmosphere (from the decor, to the friendly staff) & the food is great, nice portions, good value for money. Also, I'm Muslim so the Halal meat is a big PLUS!!

Ning – Northern QuarterMy partner and I went for a meal there on Friday night. We had one of the banquet choices. The food was outstanding and the service was superb. The design of the restaurant was excellent and certainly added to the experience we had. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for somewhere special for a meal.
Pacifica Cantonese – Ecclesall the food was all home cooked !!! no chicken ding. it was well presented and fresh . the staff were so helpful and polite . the pub had a lovely atmosphere with open fires . and total value for money !!!!! for hot home cooked fresh food . 10 out 10
Church Inn – CheadleWe were in Manchester on August bank holiday Monday and used sugarvine to print out a selection of offers for city centre restaurants. After much deliberation we opted for Ning for dinner, We loved it. We took up the offer of 3 coures for £10!!! Fab food, massive portions and great staff. Deserves to succeed
Ning – Northern QuarterLove this place , been around for ages and is still amazing , CHEESECAKE is AWESOME yum yum
Simple Bar and Kitchen – Northern QuarterThe Lime Tree USED to be an excellent restaurant. The standards have slipped, the food is so so now, and the waiting staff are untrained and unhelpful. The management couldn't careless about their customers, and I would not go back to this restaurant ever again, having had some good meals there in the past. Not what it once was. Shame.
Lime Tree – DidsburyThis is by far mine and my husbands favourite restaurant, we have celebrated many a special occasion here. Not only is the food fantastic the staff make you feel like your part of the family. The decor is gorgeous. But the food is the most important thing, the lux meze to start is a strong favourite, along with the muska borek. The main courses are to die for, everything on the menu is perfect. You couldn't ask for a better restaurant. The prices are reasonable and the portions are large. Would definitely recommend and we are so glad they have started opening at lunch times, the lunch time menu is an absolute bargain.
Turkish Delight – ChorltonWent here a few months back and was severely disappointed. I ordered pizza and my then girlfriend ordered a pasta dish, gnocci I think. My pizza was no different to what you can get in the supermarket. My girlfriend also said the gnocchi wasn't great and so we left a little disappointed. I suppose a really noisy hen party group being there didn't help, nor the annoyingly wobbly table but, all the same, the food should have been much better. Walked out feeling slightly ripped off.
Gio Ristorante – Manchester City CentreWhat a wonderful restaurant. the music, food, drinks, desserts, staff and management are all wonderful. i really enjoy eating here. i cannot thank you all enough for everything. Keep up the excellent work! Thank you! If you want a restaurant that delivers excellent food and service, look no further than here. in my personal opinion there is no better place that the little yang sing. i thoroughly enjoy myself when i come here, be it with friends or family. i always feel as though i'm not a customer but a friend. the reason being is because all the staff are so friendly and wonderful. thank you all very much. Keep up the most excellent work!
Little Yang Sing – Manchester City CentreI’d heard many good reviews about San Carlo on King Street West, and so when celebrating my promotion at work, I thought we should try out the infamous San Carlo. It was full of gorgeous people - the guests, the waiters, and the management. The food was just divine too. We tried a couple of dishes off the sea food menu and was overly impressed by the quality, and quantity of the dishes that arrived. The fish seemed to be quite a popular choice with other diners too, as we only heard positive remarks throughout the evening. A highly enjoyable night, and a very suitable place to celebrate something special.
San Carlo – Manchester City CentreWent to Via during Pride. Meal was excellent although a tad pricey.
Via Fossa – Manchester City CentreMy husband's parents took us to Nutters last week for Sunday lunch and I feel compelled to recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone!! My husband and I eat out a lot and have been disappointed in restaurants on many occasions - this was NOT one of them! I can honestly say that I could not fault the food in any way, we chose from the set lunch menu, there were 4 choices of starter, main and pudding and we all ate something different, everything was beautifully presented and delicious and for only £22 per person it included coffee and petit fours and represented outstanding value for money. On the downside, the service was not great, the staff were not particularly friendly and although they were efficient there was a lack of continuity - we had around 7 different members of staff waiting on us over the course of our meal. My only other grumble would be the appearance, although the setting of the restaurant is lovely, being a large house set in it's own grounds with a sweeping driveway and well kept gardens, the interior decor is quite old fashioned and would benefit from a refurbishment. A nice touch are the wines and jewellery for sale in the entrance and the complimentary petit fours with the coffees. We have booked to return to this restaurant for our second wedding anniversary in October - I love it!
Nutters Restaurant – RochdaleThe best food ever and great value for money! Okay, the deco isn't great, but the food definitely compensates for this. BYO, order just a few starters and share with your friends and you pay £10 on average.... hardly beatable by any other restaurant in Manchester with QUALITY food.
Aladdin – DidsburyA Tokyo Season is a shame to the vibrant restaurant in Manchester. My friends and I, i.e. a group of 5, visited the restaurant on a Saturday night. When asked about what drinks to order upon arrival, we simply said we needed a little time to settle down first. The waitress seemed disgusted by our request to delay our drinks order. After a while, we made our order for food and drink. (Mind you, they charge green tea by the cup, so no free refill unlike other Japanese restaurants) It took over 30 minutes for the food to arrive. To our disappointment, the portions were small and the quality of the food was not good. The deep fried pork fillet I had was all soggy. The food my friends ordered were not up to standard as well. To make matters worse, the manager and the waitress started removing our chopsticks even though there was still a few pieces of sashimi left on the table (we were sharing among us). I told the manager that I wanted to keep my pair of chopsticks while he was taking them away, and he asked me in a rather rude tone why. I had to point out that there were still food left to be eaten before he unwillingly returned my cutlery. In all, we were rushed for no reason, as, including us, there were only 2 tables occupied that evening. Unless you want a frustrated night out, I would not recommend this restaurant to you.
Tokyo Season – Manchester City CentreWent for my birthday with my girlfriend and friends who came down from London.Have always enjoyed turkish cuisine especially after my holiday to Alanya.Very disappointing meal. Staff took a long time to sort a table out.To be honest the waitress ignored us for 20 minutes even though several tables were empty. Food was below average.Plates and cutlery were dirty and my friend had to ask for his cutlery to be replaced.Wont be going back.
Cafe Istanbul – Manchester City Centremyself,my partner, friend and my 3 year old boy dined here on a busy Saturday afternoon. the service was quick, very polite waiters as soon as we seated my boy was entertained by the colouring crayons already on the table (to which i thought this was excellent). We all ate of the lunch express menu which was6.95 for two items. I had the vietnamese? dishes and they were fantastic ,my boys meal was OK but he isn't really used to eating fried veg.
Tampopo – Manchester City Centrefabulous food, fabulous staff, lovely clean friendly atmosphere.... definite value for money.
Sagor Tandoori – OldhamWouldn't eat there again. Service was terrible! We ordered a starter and main course only to be told when the main course was being served to everyone at our table (9people) that they didn't have 1 of the dishes available - so two of us had to reorder and eat when everyone else at the table had finished. We also ordered 2 side orders of garlic bread with cheese with the main course to be told again that they didn't have this as the chef had thrown it away! The had also ran out of two of the deserts!
