Booked for Sunday Lunch. Meal was delicious and definitely one of the tastiest pub meals we have had for a long time.

It was my 82nd birthday with the family it was excellent thank you till come back again

Another reliably good experience at this wonderful restaurant. The quality of the food is marvellous and it doesn’t matter what one orders. The whole place is spotlessly clean and the staff are warm and friendly without being intrusive. Full marks!

We regularly visit the Alvanley Arms. We love the atmosphere and the staff are lovely. Their pies are simply the BEST! The Cheese Pie is outstanding as is the Beef! The portions are enormous and the price is extremely fair particularly since the food is so good! They always accommodate our dog, who also enjoys his visits as he is given treats! We constantly recommend this pub to our friends and family, who have all visited and are of the same opinion!! Excellent!!

Lovely brunch yesterday at the Café De Paris, as always. Fantastic french onion soup and heavenly Croque Monsieur! Friendly and polite service, had to wait a short while for our food as it was so busy, but well worth the wait. Recommended.

What a great evening with fabulous food and lovely, attentive staff. The atmosphere was good, service really efficient/well paced and how refreshing to not have this annoying ‘discretionary 12.5% service charge’ So we left more!

The hotel itself is really nice, however, it was one of the coldest nights of the year and there was no heating on they had around 6 plug in radiators throughout the building which gave very little heat. The food itself was edible but not anything special and it’s very difficult to relax and enjoy yourself when you’re sat there freezing especially on what is supposed to be one of the most romantic nights of the year. All in all not a very good night if the heating was not working properly then it would have been nice to have been forewarned because I would have cancelled stayed at home and saved the cost of the night and the £40 taxi fares I

Food was excellent as always . We came on Valentine’s Day and as you would expect it was very busy. Staff were running round like headless chicken and to be honest didn’t seem very organised even the two managers. One of which took our order and was rushing around that much didn’t even give me chance to finish telling him my order. Drinks mixed up and not what we asked for forever and a day waiting I would say most in there looked a bit fed up. I’ve been here many times before and this is not the level of service we have received over the years.

As always everything was perfection at Bacchers.

We went for lunch on my birthday. The food was excellent, all made fresh to order and so tasty. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We look forward to visiting again.

We visit pacinos every couple of months and each time is always a great experience. Lovely food relaxed atmosphere and the service is exceptional.

My fave pub ever ever ever!!! The atmosphere, the staff, the food, all unreal! I’ve been twice this week already!

My friend and I had lunch at The White Lion. I had a baked potato with tuna mayonnaise, served with salad and my friend chose chicken skewers. Both meals were served promptly and were very hot and well cooked. I also had two lattes, which were hot - not always the case when I have ordered coffee at other restaurants! We sat by a natural fire and were warm and comfortable. The staff were polite and served us promptly. An excellent experience.

Spot on-good food excellent service
