Pheasant Inn – KeswickCalled in for a meal on Wednesday evening and enjoyed it so much we booked again for the following night .Very nice atmosphere and very pleasant staff we would recommend this place
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsAn excellent evening for our annual family reunion meal
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe had 2 meals in grassmere at Lewis’s and from start to finish the Service and food was excellent, would recommend to anybody to have a really great evening.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereEasy to book a table for an evening meal for two people. I had rag pudding, a type of steak suet pudding, and my wife had liver and bacon, both of which were properly cooked and very tasty. We got our food within twenty minutes even though there were four tables before us. Great service, not overly attentive.
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsWe enjoyed a lovely evening meal at Lewis's. The staff were very attentive, the choice difficult to choose from and the quality of food excellent. Would highly recommend.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereExcellent meal with attentive service . The only negative was the cheese and leek gratin which was very runny and basically inedible. This was mentioned after service and on payment of the account . They were apologetic but no offer of a discount in full for the course or part thereof .
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereMy stir fry was very salty. My wife’s veggie wellington was delicious - if anything there was too much on the plate. Bailey’s cheesecake was lovely. Odd building - lots of disjointed areas. Eating spaces could do with some music so that you don’t hear everyone else’s chat. Felt a bit disorganised when we arrived even though we’d booked.
Glen Rothay Hotel and Badger Bar – RydalAfter a lovely day in Keswick - pencil museum included - we had an early bite at the Pheasant Inn. The beer was lovely and very welcome on a hot day and the food - one meat and two veggie - was great. The staff managed to step around and over our dog (who had decided the best place to be was in the middle of the slate floor) and everything was fresh and filling. And the beer was great.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickAbsolutely lovely Sunday Lunch - visited with wife and friends. Food was lovely and plentiful - Excellent cheesy leeks - Nice selection of drinks - Staff very polite and friendly - Highly Recommend
Pheasant Inn – KeswickA very popular and busy pub with a varied menu, tasty food and good portions. The Lamb Henry and Sticky Toffee Pudding definitely a favourite of mine. We will be back soon when we next visit Keswick
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe visited the Pheasant on Monday 20th May The staff were very friendly and helpful but the food was exceptional, the best chips we have had in years, I had the venison and my wife had the beef pie and both were delicious, so much so we booked again for later in the week. Well worth a visit when in Keswick
Pheasant Inn – KeswickLoved it all! The food was exceptional and the service fast and friendly, but also professional. Had my 40th birthday there and don’t regret it one bit! Will visit again for sure!
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithWe enjoyed our visit very much - cozy atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickHaving been many times the food was great … however we felt a little isolated on service.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickGreat food as always but felt a little neglected wrt service.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickTwo weeks later and we were back having Sunday lunch again. Veggie roast, couldn't have been better and seemed to have grown bigger, wonderful vegetables. Same table as before - great and excellent service. This time there were three very good dessert options. Would have loved to have tried the crumble but we were absolutely full and more than satisfied with the main dish - sorry! Returning again very soon Thank you
Harry’s Cafe Bar at Yew Tree Barn – Grange-over-SandsEven though the waitresses were run off their feet, the service they provided was very good, indeed. The food, both presentation and taste, were excellent and yummy. The Wheatsheaf is friendly and comfortable. I would have, and, actually have had, no problem with recommending it to friends. It’s a good place. A keeper!
