Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereFantastic evening meal at Grants. We were celebrating a special birthday and it was the perfect setting for a nice intimate dinner. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overpowering or disrupting your night. The food choice was fantastic and we actually struggled to choose! The soufflé and prawn risotto were amazing and the lamb and pork were also delicious. The black pudding was especially good! The cheese board was great and the baileys roulade was amazing and huge too! We really enjoyed our night and will be recommending you to friends and family!
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithOur first visit and definitely not our last. The menu had a great selection. The food was fresh and presented beautifully. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was lively. Definitely a must try.

The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeExcellent service, outstanding setting, old world and modern at the same time, beautiful listening to the church bells ringing night before the Kings crowning too.

The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeVisited with family , 6 altogether over the Coronation weekend. Fortunately prebooked as several walking were turned away. Welcome fro staff very friendly, good choice on menu. Good value for money . Food was e collect all plates for all courses were lean at the end. One slight negative, my lamb was over done for my taste, but that's personal taste and I ate it all As we own a caravan on the nearby holiday park we will definitely be back
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsGreat healthy food. Wonderful service, very cute place with a wonderful river view. Loved the lentils and squash and the ragu. Highly recommend if you want to eat veg.
Plant by Kat’s Kitchen – KeswickFirst time we had been. Beautiful village but we were disappointed with the eve. We were sat under the stairs and it was dingy and meant it was hard to catch the staffs attention. We waited a long time for our meal, the nacho starter was good but my main, which was supposed to be crispy skinned salmon was not crispy and lacked in flavour. My partner is vegetarian and was looking forward to falafel burger but they had run out, the other option was quiche which was ok. We couldnt face waiting for dessert. We know it was a very busy special weekend, so we will give it another try.

Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereBooked for Sunday lunch. Had the beef (slow cooked medium rare). It wouldn’t be our choice to have the meat pink but it was excellent. Plenty of veg and nice to have something slightly different. Overall it was all delicious. Best roast dinner we’ve had for a long time.
