Absolutely delicious food; friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere. Lewis’s offers food that is more special than a pub meal, but the restaurant is still nice and relaxed and we felt that it was good value. A lovely treat!

Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithI had the Monkfish, this was served with rosti potatoes in a sauce and vegetables. Unfortunately the sauce made the rosti potatoes soggy and unpalatable. The meal was served in a bowl which and with the sauce made everything soggy. The dish would have been better served on a plate with the sauce in a pot! My wife had the Duck breast, the duck breast skin should have been nice and crispy, it wasn’t! The chocolate fondant was dry and not ‘gooey’ as I was expecting.
