Queens Head Inn Tirril – PenrithWe found this little bistro quite by chance on our visit to Grasmere, and what a find it was. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, the staff were welcoming and attentive and the whole atmosphere was pleasantly relaxing. We thought the menu may have been priced a little on the high side...until we tasted our meals! The quality of the food and the presentation was some way ahead of other establishments we had eaten at locally and was very much worth paying for, especially as my gluten free diet was so we'll catered for (save yourself for the desserts!). We thought this was a little gem of a place and if you are in the Grasmere area and enjoy genuinely good food and service, you should give it a try.
