Went to the quiz last night and really enjoyed it! Had a nice meal and a few drinks and the place was buzzing! Saw a few friends and altogether a great night! Food was great!

Visited Verdes for the first time in years this Tuesday and had a fabulous evening. All of the staff were so friendly, personable and attentive and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Excellent value as it was their £6.95 deal & we did not feel the food quality was compromised at all. We will definitely be back & would not hesitate to recommend to others.

Went on Tuesday night for the meal deal of any pizza or pasta for £6:95 it was absolutely brilliant the service was fantastic and the food hot and delicious but I do suggest you book because it’s heaving with customers and if you want a nice romantic meal it’s definitely not the place to go to on a Tuesday night but if you want a cheap date night with your girlfriends or boyfriend then it’s perfect

Went for Mothers Day with wife, 2 daughters and grandmother. Lovely meal, with pleasant service and friendly atmosphere. The only problem was we were charged for a 3 course meal, rather than the 2 course meal we had; only discovering on the M6 on the way to Lancaster. Without this mishap, we would have scored the service and value higher !

As always food was excellent, great atmosphere and you seem to have a lot more experienced staff so it was a great service too

Not been for a few years won't be in a rush to go back again booked a table for 4 adults and 2 kids for Mother's Day got to the place no table organised got plonked in the cold bar area waitress came over offered the Mother in law and Wife a prosecco told the waitress that they don't drink alcohol is there a non alcoholic option to be told no ok let's move on came to ordering the food Wife Is a veggie wanted a carvery to be told there isn't a veggie option for the carvery and to order the kids one and just have it without meat so around £10 for veg and spuds brilliant table only got half cleared after the mains had finished all the staff was stood round the bar chatting like they all had just started on the day not having a clue what to do came to paying asked for the bill to be told just go to the bar and pay glad I got a receipt because I'm sure if I hadn't I wouldn't have been told about the service charge that was added when it came to paying I had to ask the group of staff if I could get to the bar overall the food was ok but the service was shocking wasted over £100 on what was meant to be a nice meal out for Mother's Day.

Another excellent evening at Quatros

We haven’t been for a number of years, but heard that the pub was back open and thriving. We visited for Mother’s Day and the service from start to finish was excellent. We were welcomed as we entered the restaurant , the staff were super friendly and the food was amazing. The small touches made a huge difference, petals on the table, daffodils for all the mums, first class all round.

Went for a meal last night (Sunday 15th March 2026) at the Shepherd's Rest. They'd clearly had a busy day (Mothering Sunday!) but the staff were polite and very friendly. We both had the salmon - cooked to perfection with Hasselback potatoes and greens/spinach - simple but just delicious. We will certainly be returning, thank you.

Lovely friendly staff. Food was excellent. Portion sizes are huge we actually struggled to eat it all so staff boxed it up so we could take it home. I have visited many times and have never been dissappinted with the food.
