Absolutely outstanding! The venue, the service and the food were all amazing. We sat at the chefs table too. Great addition to Lower Darwen.. we will definitely be back soon! Book, you will not be disappointed.

First visit and won't be our last. Lovely pub with a good outside seating space. Ideal to soak in the lovely outstanding views! Served by lovely staff who took an interest and was very attentive. Food was brilliant too. Well cooked and presented. The place got really busy too.

Visited yesterday for tea out with friends. We love The Whitchaff and have visited numerous times in the past. With the weather being so warm we opted to sit outdoors to eat. The views are fabulous! We were greeted with a friendly smile on arrival and handed menus. I'd say there is a good menu with a variety of meals as well as a specials menu. We all had a starter and a main - ample food portions,.enjoyed by all! Look forward to returning again. Hope the good service and quality food continues.

Hello. My friend and I went up to the Shepherd's on the 1st August and throughly enjoyed our meals. We were able to sit outside in their beer garden as it was a beautiful early evening and look out over the amazing views over Todmorden and Hebden Bridge and beyond. The food was fantastic as it always has been since the new owners took over the pub. I made the mistake of not specifying that we wanted our cheesy garlic bread as a starter and it was unfortunately served with our main meals, so no blame aimed at the bar staff on that front. The pub is one of our go too places for food, beer and amazing settings.

Tried the new location out for lunch. We decided on the set lunch menu. Everything was excellent! Food quality, flavour, presentation accompanied by welcoming staff. The inside and outside decor and seating areas are superb! Well done to all the team behind this great new restaurant.

Visited for my stepdaughter dad's birthday. 9 of us attended and food was remarkable. My only small gripe was we had to go to the bar from restuarant to order most the drinks or get the waitress each time. It wasn't a real issue but got a bit repetitive as there were 9 of us.

Lovely afternoon, sat by the canal, drinking beer, in the sun. We ordered food and I got a pizza, it was one of the nicest pizzas I’ve ever had, will delete get one next time I’m there. Staff were friendly, toilets clean.

Our meals at our table for 4 were superb and the staff were so welcoming, cheerful and efficient. The whole experience was an absolute pleasure.

Lovely place, great food and service.

Came on Thursday the food was really good with on exception, I ordered fish and chips but I like my fish really crispy but it was like a flat batter like the ones you get in a pkt, so disappointed!! The rest was fine! Must say the waitress was really good looked after us . 10 out of 10!

The restaurant is very nicely presented the staff are friendly. The menu is excellent I would highly recommend a visit, we shall return.
