This is the second weekend in a row where I’ve come for breakfast and they never disappoint. The service of the girls is 10/10 so lovely to chat to. Busy atmosphere as always definetly recommend booking ahead to save disappointment when they are full . Food was amazing . Could never fault the chef

Wednesday, 9th October, was a family meal for 7 of us. The Whitchaff was quieter than usual which is why I gave only 4 for atmosphere. However, we had lovely meal and enjoyed our time at the pub. Thank you to the staff for looking after our table.

Food was lovely as always. Felt the chip portion was stingy on the fish and chips - both adults having it had less than the child's portion of chips, nuggets and beans! So we did leave a little hungry, especially for the price it was!!! That said, fish was lovely, so was the service.

Again very much enjoyed the food and eaten here several times now. Staff always provide a friendly service. I'll definitely be returning.

Two of us went for lunch and had the lunch time deal. The food was lovely and I can't wait to come back again.

Overall the experience here can be summed up with: fantastic food, but service not great. Waitresses (aside from 1) didn’t smile much, and we didn’t feel like they were happy to be there or provided us with a personal experience. Nice relaxing atmosphere and good selection of beers / wines and spirits.

We visited the ship inn for our 20th wedding day. We enjoyed a very friendly service and delicious food. In my opinion for the money you get plenty of food and I was really full after the greek salad I decided. My husband enjoyed the fettucini and after that a really rich cheesecake. The waiter went into the kitchen immediately to aks about the flavour of the todays cheesecake. Thank you very much for the nice experience.

Good service. Food was nice. I had ribeye steak and chip, with a tiny jug of peppercorn sauce. Paid £25 for it. A little bit of salad to accompany the meal wouldn't have gone amiss. Lettuce, tomato? Not expensive is it. Tiny jug of sauce was too hot to hold, so I tried with my serviette, it slipped and spilled all over the table. So, if you're going to put the sauce in a separate jug, and it be so hot to hold, at least get jugs with a handle. Overall, unimpressed.

Lovely pub location, looked forward to couple of beers and a nice meal, did not enjoy the selection of disinterested surly children working bar and floor, could barely contain their over privileged contempt for customers actually wishing to be served. Food looked the part however different components of meal either boiling hot or cold. Real shame as we had looked forward to our evening out but found ourselves bitching about how shite and disappointing the Water Witch was... Just a suggestion... Employ some experienced older staff please, the students just ain't up to the job

What a find we were visiting Lancaster found this restaurant on the Internet booked it no problem looked at reviews brill. Got there we didn't realise they didn't serve alcohol but honestly we didn't need it we had bottled water and the Indian food was the best l ever tasted l had slow cooked lamb highly recommend Service was brill also even though we were told they were short on staff thankyou

Well got a table right in the middle of everyone else. Not at the side and when asked for window seat was informed it was booked but there are no numbers on the tables so bewildered as to who gets one unless your a local. My food came it was cold. Not enough range in veggie so had to get cheese pie and beans. Pie and beans cold chips hot. Asked to put it in microwave told they would get me a new one. My partner had finished before my other meal came and to be honest although hot not very nice. I did not go out with my partner to eat alone nor did I ask for cold or poor quality food. Given that it wasn’t ate The waiter didn’t comment of ask if something was wrong. Paid for food I didn’t eat and to be honest the whole experience made me very angry

We have visited Sienna several times, the service is always friendly, professional. Checking dietary requirements prior to taking our drinks order. The food portions are great- your not left hungry- great value for money! The staff are attentive, checking in between courses if everything is to satisfaction- drinks needed etc it's a lovely atmosphere, it's a highly recommended restaurant to visit. A nice central location.
