Had a beautiful Sunday lunch. I had the beef and my partner the lamb. Beef and veg cooked to perfection and my partner said her lamb was the best she ever had ! Had to eat in the bar as we had the dog but had a nice atmosphere and a great selection of ales. Would definitely return and recommend!

Near faultless in every aspect, including the highly flavoured authentic Mexican dishes enhanced with local ingredients/forage. Owner and staff fully engaged and interested, passionate about the food, beverages and service. Quirky environment with original art and opportunity to sit at the kitchen pass. Straight back there next time we're Hull-bound!

Great service from very tentative staff, it also has a excellent gluten free menu best one i have ever seen.

I have no idea why we waited so long to try this restaurant and can't wait to go back. Food amazing, staff friendly and even our fussiest of eaters were happy which is practically impossible! It is definitely going to be our go to Italian restaurant while in the area.

First went Maxis when it was on Kirkstall Road Leeds quite sine years ago, we were gutted when it closed. Was so excited to try the restaurant in York and wasn’t disappointed. Food and service fantastic and lunch menu was great value for money.

Myself and my partner came for a meal last night at Tocketts Mill. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and came in reasonable time. We have eaten a lot of meals here over the years and plan to do so in the future.

Well, the reviews aren't wrong! Well, the positive ones anyway. 5 of us dined here in March 26 and had a whale of a time. Service was great, friendly and accommodating. The food, oh the food is fantastic! We had a mixture of tacos and various side plates, none of which disappointed. If I had to critique, I would suggest more options from the bar (though lots of Mexican beer / Tequila are available) Overall, a very pleasant surprise in Hull. Long may they continue. People of Hull, support businesses like this, we need more of them!

The evening was for a party of 29 people and the service was exceptional . The staff were friendly, efficient and extremely helpful. The food was enjoyed by everyone and I would definitely go back and also recommend especially for a large group as sometimes it’s difficult to find a venue for this amount. The food preorder and number of people had to be changed a couple of times leading up to the night and this was no problem at all . An excellent evening.

Our first visit. We went for the Lamb special sharer. Taste sensation. Wow. Just felt it needed something else. Something with which we could soak up all the deliciousness of that dish Staff were friendly and helpful. Keen to hear our view on the Lamb It was that good really !!!

I visited yesterday for the first time with a couple of grandkids, & we all had a great time. The atmosphere was so relaxing, & the cats all seemed very happy. If I was a cat I'd consider myself very lucky to be living there. Thanks also to all the nice humans who run the show.

Fab restaurant and bar, cost in the winter and great in the summer with its outdoor space. Great food choice and the quality, service and price are excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Well were do I start...absolutely fantastic time...the food out of this world...the service spot on...and can I say what a wonderful young man Ollie was...always looking around ..checking tables out...and his mannerism for a young man should be menchanged...we will definitely be going there again...thank you...
