Water Rat – IronbridgeI booked this venue for fiancés birthday on good review and recommendation. I took in excess of 5 minutes to be seat and we were only pointed to our seats stating ‘it’s over there’. We then waited nearly 20 minutes to be for a drinks order a further 10 minutes for a food order. Second drinks order we had to visit the bar ourselves. We asked for the child’s meal to come out with the starters in order for it to cool down, this did not happen. The starters which were a plentiful portion of nachos with toppings were grey and bland, unsure how the taste was so absent. The mains were no better. The burgers could not possibly be locally sourced 100%. They had the consistency of a herons own frozen burger and the taste of a Frey bento meatball. My daughter’s Mac and cheese was the only dish apart from one prawn starter from 9 dishes ordered that had any fulfilling taste. We were not asked if everything was ok or if we’d enjoyed our meal. The guitarist was a nice touch and was a genuinely nice bloke. In the experience we had, I would be hard pushed to frequent this establishment again.
The Smokey Cow – TelfordReally nice meal here. Generous main course portions. Service was a bit on the slow side but heard they were short staffed. We liked the pub - lots of character and friendly staff even though they were very busy. We’d definitely visit again.
The Golden Ball Inn – TelfordLovely restaurant, friendly service and cosy atmosphere. The food is first rate: fresh, quality ingredients, delicate flavours, beautifully presented. It's not the cheapest place to eat, but you get what you pay for and it's definitely worth it (and having said this, the drinks aren't expensive). Best Thai we've been to, anywhere.
Suree’s Kitchen – IronbridgeVisited Saturday evening for a birthday meal with 3 guests We had a great evening. The food was excellent, ample portions and extremely good service. All members of our party agreed with my above review We have booked for a return visit in November to celebrate another friends birthday. I can totally recommend this restaurant to any one
Suree’s Kitchen – IronbridgeSecond visit to Surees kitchen last night and as good as the first, amazing food again with a lovely atmosphere and delightful host. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone...
Suree’s Kitchen – IronbridgeI dont usually write reviews but after some of the negative comments i had read i felt i had to. We went on a sunday and both had the roast dinner it was lovely so much we couldnt finish and the cauliflower was excellent. We couldnt find fault with the staff they were very friendly and efficient.
The Golden Ball Inn – TelfordA wonderful place to eat and drink. Staff are excellent too!
The Queens Head – OswestryAbsolutely delicious meal couldn’t fault a thing enjoyed by all four of us a lovely atmosphere friendly helpful staff an all round lovely experience will definitely be going again thank you to all
The Last Inn – NewportVery very disappointing. Website advertised new autumn menue - it wasn't. Had beetroot & feta salad, beetroot wad that hard you couldn't put a fork in it. Main course was chicken balloting, about 1/3rd of a chicken breast with stone cold cappage & bacon with lumpy mash. Complained at the time, they knocked off the mash. Husband said his pie was nice. Enough said won't be back.
The White Hart – IronbridgeExcellent food.
The Gate – ShrewsburyExcellent afternoon, our third visit always made to feel welcome, great food and service thank you
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordFood amazing and host so lovely
Water Rat – IronbridgeI visited The Queens Head some months ago to meet up with a canal-borne friend. We had a splendid lunch, so it was a natural choice for another with a business friend. He was equally impressed. I shall doubtless be back again.spon
The Queens Head – OswestryFantastic Sunday lunch. Great range of vegetables, perfectly cooked. Friendly staff.
Water Rat – IronbridgeA really smashing pub with great food. We usually go on a Sunday for lunch. I like the fact that as we are elderly they let us have the smaller meal from the children’s menu. The staff are all excellent and went out of their way to accommodate my husband after he had dental surgery and couldn’t eat properly. Cannot recommend The Water Rat highly enough.
