Overall a very good experience, food was lovely, my only small gripe would be that the plates were stone cold, the food was fine, but i would have expected it to come out on warmed up plates given i was paying over £30 for a steak.

When we arrived, we were seen to a table in a fair amount of time. Next to us, on the other side of the wall, there was a large party going on. We could not talk to each other without shouting, as that table was really loud. It took over 20 minutes to take our orders (it was only my partner and I), 45 minutes for our starters to reach our table and 45 minutes for our mains to reach our table. My partners starter was cold, whereas mine was fairly warm. Afterwards, we waited 45 minutes for our mains to reach our table, only for me to have a side of halloumi sticks with chilli sauce (when I asked for just fried halloumi) and my steak to be blue when I asked of it to be rare and my partner to have normal fries when he had asked for kamikaze fries. At this point, we were ready to leave. It seems as though everyone gave attention to the party rather than their small customers, whose opinion also matters. We did not have dessert, which was disappointing, but waiting a very long time for that to arrive didn’t sound too great. Disappointed to say the least.

Great meal on Saturday afternoon. Three people dining. Two of us had burgers options and the other had fish and chips from the light bites menu. Portion size was really good especially the light bites meal. Normally you only get a few chips in a mug with burgers but these came with a good helping of chips with the option to upgrade to messy fries if desired. Service was polite and friendly. Nice decor. Will come again.

Okay meal, great location, staff very friendly. But where is the owner or senior manager? Whoever and wherever you are, you should feel very proud of your young team, they do really well in a challenging, multi-storey environment with no direction from a more experienced manager to oversee and organise. Take responsibility and get yourself into the restaurant and train your staff and show that you value them.

My daughter and I had burgers, the buffalo chicken burger and the bacon cheeseburger, and they were fantastic. Great quality and taste. Really enjoyed it and love coming to the Swan. My daughter insists we come again and was surprised just how good it was. Love it!

We brought some friends visiting from USA to the Queens head for lunch as we knew they would appreciate a good meal. We were not disappointed - everything was delicious; beef brisket was tender and so tasty , the curry was spot on, the omelette was light and fluffy,and the fish was perfect. Highly recommend , especially if you are gluten free as the majority of the menu is/can be made gf. Never been glutened eating here.

Great meal - it was huge! Enjoyed it very much. Beers were ‘spot on’ and it’s the first restaurant that I’ve been to in ages where we had a jug of iced lemon water without having to ask. Service was great, setting was lovely, cost was just right - and the sun was shining. Perfect! See you soon.

Would highly recommend, best Sunday lunch we have had in a while! Excellant choice of meat and veg, my chicken was cooked to perfection,also a good selection of sides to include cauliflower cheese, pigs in blankets, yorkies.Nothing was too much trouble staff were attentive and helpful even though they were busy. Our dogs were made to feel extremely welcome with treats for them too! Will definitely be visiting again soon.

My husband and I booked for Sunday lunch on 21st April to celebrate his birthday. We both had the 2 courses for £20.00 (starter and main) and the food was outstanding in quality and freshness. We both said it was the best roast we've had in any pub/restaurant and will definitely be back! The staff were all extremely friendly and efficient without being intrusive. A definite favourite venue in Ironbridge.

Once again lovely Sunday lunch, service was a bit hit and miss and slow when we arrived and seemed to wait ages fir drinks, but then a waitress arrived while we were eating and service was then improved

Another meal at The Elephant Crossing, another great night out! Fourth or fifth time we’ve been here and have never been disappointed. Friendly, excellent service, nice mix of alcoholic drinks and wonderfully tasty, well cooked Mexican food at a decent price. Thanks again for an enjoyable evening. Looking forward to another visit soon.

Party of 9 walkers for lunch. Good cheerful service and just the right menu for lunch. They were happy for us to park up prior to walking. Great to find a pub who understand what hospitality is all about

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely meal at the Water Rat on April 17th. We were welcomed by friendly helpful staff and taken to our table in a beautifully clean well decorated part of the restaurant with gorgeous views of the grounds. We were waited on speedily and attentively, in an understated, respective manner. The food was delicious. Drinks and food were competitively priced. Our dog was welcomed and we weren't ostracised to a dark corner, which can sometimes happen in some establishments. The atmosphere was lively without being intrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and would recommend The Water Rat , unreservedly.
