Excellent Sunday lunch! The Yorkshire pudding was huge but light and there was a good variety of vegetables. Booking recommended because this place is extremely popular with friendly, helpful staff.

Pheasant Inn – KeswickIf in or near Carlisle, this is a restaurant not to miss. The reception was very friendly and the service second to none, And the food.... we were wowed by every bite. We'll be back whenever we're in the vicinity.
Sage and Vine – CarlisleMain courses of Turkey & Belly Pork were excellent including the vegetables, despite Belly Pork not being my preferred meat. My partner thoroughly enjoyed the turkey. My desert (Tira Misu) I was not impressed with. It bore more of a resemblance to a choux pastry chocolate eclair than Tira Misu. Service as always was excellent
Horse and Farrier – PenrithDelicious roast will be coming again
Pheasant Inn – KeswickLovely venison pie (great pastry) and well cooked veg, delicious Xmas pud too. Thoroughly enjoyed the food. Good value. Little cold though as we were by the window.
Horse and Farrier – PenrithFANTASTIC night. Everything about this restaurant is worth a 10 out of 10. From the friendly, warm welcome and service to the most delicious and fresh food. Great choice of dishes, with the best ingredients, great portion sizes- delicious! Such good value for money too. The staff are brilliant. We were out with our 3 young granddaughters who were really looked after, and made to feel special, such friendly people. The atmosphere and vibe in Mezzaluna is amazing. We can't wait to go back. Thank you.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWhat a fantastic little pub. We loved our early evening meal here on Saturday evening. The atmosphere, decor and service was absolutely wonderful. All the dishes were lovely and the menu was seasonal and varied.
Horse and Farrier – PenrithWe were a large family group including one child and we couldn’t have had a better evening!! The food was wonderful, so tasty and served so quickly. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was really relaxing and laid back. We all enjoyed our meal( including our vegan nephew) and would thoroughly recommend a visit!! In fact, we hope to return when we’re next in Penrith.
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithVisited on Thursday party of 4 girlies...Lovely atmosphere, food and service impeccable. Will definitely go again when I next visit Carlisle
Sage and Vine – CarlisleAlways have a good experience at The Pheasant.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickI’ve been to this restaurant several times now, and it’s consistently excellent. On my latest visit the service was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The food was delicious as always – fresh, full of flavour, and clearly made with care.

Sage and Vine – CarlisleExcellent food and service at Mezzaluna on Friday night. Good value for money. Thanks again and see you next year.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleStaying for a long weekend just outside Keswick the pheasant inn was recommended for Sunday lunch . Unfortunately the only time slots still available on the early afternoon sitting were 12 & 12:15pm. I think they do cater for walk ins but I would advise pre booking (But unlike me more than the previous evening). The pheasant is easy to book online. You can book a table in either the dog friendly or not areas of the inn. On arrival for our 12 15 booking we waited at the bar and a member of staff showed us to our table. We ordered drinks (local craft beers) and when they arrived we ordered two Sunday roasts. We had probably a twenty minute wait ,but it was worth the wait! The food was deliciously cooked and there was plenty of it ! I had beef the gaffer had chicken. Unlike some places the Yorkshire puddings are a cheap way of filling a plate. But these were balanced on top of the roast. Unfortunately we can't comment on the desert menu as we were too full! For the area I think just over £20 is good value. The staff are very friendly and even though it was very busy the chef took time out to ask if everything was ok Overall I would highly recommend the pheasant inn for Sunday lunch. But pre book to avoid disappointment!
