Really varied menu. As non meat eaters it was good to have a choice from 4 fish/ vegetarian meals. Friendly service, but not all four dishes were served at the same time, unfortunately the same person for main and desert.

We had a very enjoyable meal. The best fillet steak I can remember having and friendly and efficient service.

Lunchtime birthday treat with my mum. CDJ riverside has been beautifully decorated inside and out. The food matched this high standard was beautifully presented and delicious. This restaurant is like nothing else on offer locally. We are already planning our next visit. What a jem of a restaurant.

We use CDJ’s to entertain all our important customers now - after two really successful evenings in August & Sept … Chef looked after us personally - ordering in Tomahawk steaks especially for the table - and ensuring everything was perfect for our corporate entertainment. The bar is beautifully decorated and the music & cocktails carefully curated - you could be in Manchester or London. The choice of tapas is really thoughtful and reasonably priced along with a very healthy wine menu. The outside terrace will be fantastic in Summer -,we can’t wait to use it for staff events. We would recommend any local business to consider CDJ’s for their corporate needs - but get booked in early as it’s growing ever more popular … Thanks CDJ & team.

Went on Wednesday evening A bit of a last minute decision Brizola did not disappoint Food, atmosphere, chef, waiting on staff 10/10 I had the lamb never been as full in such a long time No need for a starter but couldn’t resist one

A friend and I had 2 courses from the lunchtime specials menu. We had the tempura prawns and the mushrooms, followed by Pollo Diana and a selection of vegetables, which was more than ample. I can only say everything was absolutely delicious, as always, and the service was exceptional. I do come to Verdes quite regularly, and have come to expect lovely food and very good service, and that is what I always get. The only improvement could be that you would be nearer to my home and I could visit more often!

Eaten a few times here and it's always top quality, freshly prepared and tasty. Not outfacing portions and service with a smile. Will be back.

Having had a bad experience previously (3 years ago) I hadn’t been back until this Tuesday. Service was very quick, the food absolutely lovely and the waitress dealing with my table a delight. Will definitely be going back in as a regular.

We had Sunday lunch of roast beef for 4 people. Lovely colourful decor and welcoming bar staff. Older member of the group struggled to climb onto the high chairs in the bar seating area. Soon shown to table and available options outlined to us, everything on the menu was available despite being very busy. Person taking order was distracted and did not pay full attention. Returned and set additional cutlery on one end of the table so we needed to pass around and place ourselves which we a bit were surprised at. Two out of four enjoyed our roast beef, two found it chewy. Good selection of vegetable accompaniments, lovely crisp roast potatoes and generous sized Yorkshire pud. Cauliflower cheese was so firm we had difficulty portioning it out, the sauce was very tasty. Would revisit and try something else on the menu next time.

We arrived on time but our table wasn't available, a good sign that they don't rush people out. They ushered us to a bar table to order drinks and wait. Very polite and helpful staff. 15 mins and we were ushered to our dining table. The food is cooked fresh from being ordered so 1/2 hours was a reasonable wait. Good size portions and well presented delicious food, veg not over-cooked. We had a noisy baby with us and the staff were fine about that and warmed the baby food for us. My second visit and will go again as it is very local.

Food very good, table service excellent in a busy pub. Only flaw, we were delayed trying to pay waiting for bar staff to conclude their long conversation with another pair of customers. This resulted in a 4/5 for service which otherwise would have been a perfect 5.

Another successful evening at the Lunesdale! Normal menu supplemented with a Sunday Roast menu. As usual, all food was excellent. It was quite busy but service was very good. Have just booked our next visit

7 went for my son's 15th Birthday. Service was fantastic beaten only by the quality of the meals. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and everyone left with full tummy's and smiles on their faces. Great place, highly recommended.

Speedy service, too efficient?? Finished 3 courses in just over an hour. Not much time to relax between courses but if you’re looking for mega-efficient service then perfect.
