Perfect again. Great food. warm atmosphere. Genuine food. can’t fault it

Took my daughter for birthday and they were amazing with her. Pizza is always delicious and the service is outstanding everytime we have finished. Definitely a favourite of ours

Lovely setting, great food and good service. I was very happy with our evening.

Our meal at Verdes was excellent, I ordered the spaghetti bolognaise and argued it was the best I’ve ever had! The pizza tropical was also wonderful, plenty of toppings and the perfect base! Can’t complain at all here, staff and service great.

This is the second time we have eaten here in the last few weeks and the standard of food was excellent both times. The service is good , friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Would certainly recommend it.

Our second visit to Lunesdale this time as a four and it was another fabulous meal and experience. The menu is a great mix and all four of us had different options but all were extremely good. We were superbly looked after despite arriving late and would highly recommend this elegant and friendly venue and we’ll certainly be back soon

Lovely surroundings and great food. The Christmas dinner was outstanding. The service is excellent and they took into account our specific seating needs. We have been several times before and will certainly be returning.

We thoroughly enjoyed the lunch on our first visit to the Lunesdale. Even though the restaurant was busy, including a party of 10, the service was prompt and the food excellent - a very posh ploughmans and the lightest tempura batter on the fish. Delicious! We will be back!!

Came for lunchtime and evening food this week. It's a lovely restaurant. The food is excellent. The staff are welcoming and friendly. There's a really good choice and it's very well priced. Faultless

Before we went: we changed the time of our booking at pretty short notice. The staff were very accommodating and we kept our preferred table for the new time. When we were there, the staff were very welcoming and professional. We had beautiful views over the valley. The menu had something for everyone (2 adults, 2 kids). Everyone was really happy with their food. I had steak & onion pie and it’s probably the best pie I’ve ever eaten; and let me tell you, I’ve eaten a lot of pies! This is the 2nd time we’ve been to The Shepherd’s Rest for birthday meals and both times, the whole experience has been outstanding. Just the right balance of informal atmosphere and spectacular food and scenery. Thanks for helping make my wife’s birthday special.

Absolutely blooming lovely as usual. Food was tasty and fresh. Fab portion sizes. Great value for money.

Not impressed with the food the service was mediocre portion sizes were small so won't be rushing back there any time soon.

We met a friend here for a meal. We’d been before for an anniversary treat, and again were very impressed by the food, the atmosphere and the service. The menu had lots of interesting options and our vegetarian-opting friend had plenty to choose from. Our meals came promptly (but not too quickly!) and were well-presented and delicious. Service was friendly and professional and the atmosphere was laid-back and relaxed while being sophisticated.

A Christmas night out and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. A group of 5, we all ordered off the Christmas menu and all the food was lovely. The price was £30 for 3 courses which was reasonable. The service was great. Been many times before and quattros never disappoints. My only gripe is the house wine prices. Deffo could be a bit cheaper but it'll never stop me coming.

WOW is the only word for Brizola. The warm and super friendly atmosphere is only complimented by the amazing food. The current special of pigs in blankets can only be described as heavenly! Every plate of food was so tasty. Cannot recommend this place more highly!!

We had a very pleasant stay. The room was warm and comfortable. The pub was homely with great service. The food was excellent and the poached eggs at breakfast were perfect. Would definitely return.
