Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaWe had an excellent meal of a selection of small plates and a local rosé sparkling wine. The various fish dishes (and Indian potatoes) were delicious and their timing was just right.
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaExcellent fish dishes. Superb boullabaise and skate in capers, all with locally caught fish. My foody guests were very impressed and I was reminded what an excellent restaurant this is. The service was friendly and we were not on a time limit which made for a relaxing evening.
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaA small neighbourhood restaurant that is all about authenticity. Never having visited Sardinia, some of the dishes were unknown to me but super delicious. The braised baby octopus were outstanding.
Ancient Grains – EastbourneCan't fault the food or service, the roast dinners were perfectly cooked, beautifully presented and good portioned. The team are young, friendly and professional.
The Denbigh – BexhillFantastic quality food and great attentive service. We now always eat here when we come to Rye.
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeHad a fabulous early dinner here last Saturday. Service matched the excellent food and will definitely return!
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaWe always enjoy coming here. Food is good and hospitality warm. Martha was great.
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeWe both had the sea bass and it was very good. We will visit again.
The Denbigh – BexhillWe had a very enjoyable evening at Ancient Grains. We were greeted warmly and given a choice of tables. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with lovely ambient lighting and candles. We appreciated the small classy touches, the crystal glasses, the gorgeous water decanters in individual designs and the soft jazz music playing in the background. We chose from the pre order menu and each of our courses was delicious, full of flavour and we were given generous portions. The service was very good, attentive but not intrusive. It was our first experience of this restaurant and we will definitely be returning. We have recommended it to our family and friends. Thank you for a very happy evening, a pre birthday treat for my husband.
Ancient Grains – EastbourneLove it here.. A little gem... Fantastic food, obviously cooked with love. Friendly atmosphere... Recommend
Ancient Grains – EastbourneLovely pub. Great option for a circular walk from Camber to Rye. We went for Sunday lunch and weren’t disappointed. Perfectly pink beef, a whole roast chicken to share with our 4yo and a selection of small plates, including tasty squid for a picky teenager. Attentive service. We’ll be back!
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeWe had a warm and very friendly welcome when we had dinner recently. Staff are upbeat, kind and focussed on delivering a great service. We had the Sunday roast which was delicious with large portions. Their menu offers lots of options and there's a great range of local beers and ciders. Would definitely recommend The Globe and we will be back.
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeWe had a great evening in Pissarros, the music, food and service were all fantastic and the staff are amazing! Would highly recommend!
Pissarro’s – HastingsI was treated to lunch by a friend. The meal was superb. My friend had the sea bass and I had the vegetarian moussaka. Both dishes were superb and we cleared our plates. Happily we were not too full for dessert! Warm chocolate brownie with chantilly cream and meringue with berries and cream were both delicious. Service was faultless and not intrusive and there was no excessively loud music just the lovely buzz of a friendly, busy pub. The busy landlady spared the time to answer my friend's questions about the history of the pub. I wholeheartedly recommend this lovely, welcoming pub.
The Denbigh – BexhillGreat experience from beginning to end. The booking process was simple. The staff were great, friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and arrived quickly. The atmosphere was delightful. Thanks to everyone at The Globe.
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeNice place ,friendly service , dilicious food! A restaurant you can't ignore !!
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeWe've eaten at the Denbigh several times and usually have a Sunday lunch. The selection is relatively narrow but has always been of good quality, decent sized portions and priced between £17-£19 for a roast dinner. The 'medley' has a selection of pork + crackling & stuffing, lamb, beef with mixed vegetables and Yorkshire pudding. Service is always polite and attentive. You can eat both inside and outside if you brave the weather, there are outside heaters with a covered dining area and we always book as it can get busy at times. It does look 'tired' on the inside so don't expect too much in that respect but you can't fault the food or service.
