Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsFantastic food and service in lovely pub and location. Staff brilliant, building superb and bar very cosy after right good soaking during day. Request for quiet spot for our two dogs accommodated really well too. Chicken pie, beef and two nut-roast Sunday dinners. Thank you very much!
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeVery good Sunday Lunch, just like a “homemade meal” , thoroughly enjoyed it. Ambience a “bit basic “, however food was very good. We will definitely return again for both midweek meal or Sunday lunch again.
Greyhound Inn Cotehill – CarlisleAfter a 2 hour walk in the rain we had a Sunday Roast here to look forward to. The roast beef was amazing, generous portions and delicious veggies. Friendly staff who let me sample the chocolatey stout before purchasing ( I recommend!!) Make sure you book ahead, it’s a popular place and we didn’t mind having a late lunch as early slots booked up. Excellent value, we’ll be back!!
Horse and Farrier – PenrithHad a fantastic Sunday lunch with friends, food and wine excellent and staff very efficient and friendly. Party size increased fro 1 to 3 and then 5 people and the staff we're very accommodating. We all had a wonderful time.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeFood was excellent, great portions, service was friendly and kept coming to us on regular basis, only thing we can say was time limit if we weren’t rushed we would of stayed longer but would go back and will recomend thank you all for a good night
Pheasant Inn – KeswickFood was a 10/10 for all courses, lady running the bar was lovely and couldn’t do enough for us

La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWarm welcome on arrival, staff very attentive and friendly. Food was served quickly and was delicious despite how busy it was. Lovely atmosphere we will be back.

Adriano’s Italian Restaurant – CarlisleFriendly bar staff. Enjoyed a traditional rag pudding with tender meat and delicious gravy, mushy peas and chips. Had a pint of Cumbria Way, very tasty. Very dog friendly and Lily enjoyed the chips.
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsThis was our first visit since the management change and we are very pleased to report that all is well - a good meal in the dining room and Louisa and Grace looked after us well. The pub looks as though it has also been smartened up a little and with an open fire, what's not to like
Queens Head Inn Tirril – PenrithEasy to book online. Warm welcome on arrival. Food was delicious and staff were friendly and attentive
Adriano’s Italian Restaurant – CarlisleFirst time i have been it was recommended to me by friends and wow it was amazing! The waitress was so friendly and helpful and the food was unreal! The variety of breads was unreal. I lived the gammon and the baked feta. Can't wait to return. Thanks
Sage and Vine – CarlisleBooked two nights with two mates here when staying opposite in a holiday home. What a right choice that was . Fabulous service, a warm welcome and food and drink of a high quality. The fact this place is pretty full on week nights in November says everything you need to know. I recommend you pre-book as doubt you would get in otherwise. Thanks to all the staff last Tuesday & Wednesday evening, great team, and we will be back. Thank you
Pheasant Inn – KeswickMy husband & I dined here a few years back & throughly enjoyed it, so of course we re-booked during our stay in Grasmere. Again, we couldnt fault the food it was amazing & the service very efficient. The only thing I would say is that the rave going on in the kitchen was slightly distracting… didnt seem to deter the chef though so not sure if its a complaint or not?!
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereFood was perfect. Although the service for taking our food and drink order was very slow.
