Lovely meal and friendly, helpful staff. We travelled up from Lincolnshire but some guests travelled a lot further to eat here!

We have eaten twice here now, and can honestly say, how friendly, this place is. The food is tremendous, plenty of it, nice and hot, and served quickly with a smile. I cannot believe how we have not visited sooner. We will definitely keep visiting as we travel to the Lake District (Pooley Bridge) often.

We had a wonderful Sunday Lunch at Harry's, superb locally sourced produce. We couldn't manage a pudding, but the description sounded fabulous. Friendly and helpful staff. We'll definitely recommend and will be back.

We stayed at the North Lakes hotel for a spa weekend and wanted a special meal out. Looking at the menu online and reviews we chose Grants and were extremely happy with our choice. Our expectations where food is concerned are high and Grants did not disappoint. Do not let the location or first look at Grants deter you from taking a seat. The taste and presentation of the food was excellent. The service staff were very friendly and attentive. The online booking was simple and the following communication regarding booking reassuring. My only negatives were atmosphere (especially as one of the first diners that evening) it lacked finishing touches in the restaurant itself in decoration and music and crockery (I know modern tends to be earthenware but with such gorgeous food I hate the scraping noise when trying to savour the last bits on the plate). This said, the food and attentive, knowledgeable staff will bring me back!! Thanks for the salmon recommendation x

Cena piacevole con due ottime fish pie e due fagiani un po' duretti, anche se di gusto buono. Verdure cotte rivedibili e un po' insipide. Buona la birra e gentile il servizio. Prezzi in linea con altri pub inglesi, tendenti all'alto.

Always a warm welcome and good was brilliant. Particularly like the range of specials they always have. As ever the fish pie and chicken/ham pie are top favourites! Oh and don’t forget the New Zealand saivvy blanc!! Will be coming back at end of week for more!

Excellent food, albeit my wife’s salmon could have been slightly less cooked for her liking. Otherwise this was a very good evening and you get what you pay for. Very enjoyable! See you again soon.
