We had a very nice Sunday lunch recently. My partner thought the gravy was too thin and the veg undercooked. I disagree, the veg was fine and so was the gravy and there was plenty of it. The potatoes and veg were served in a pile on the plate, with the meat draped over the top. This kept the veg nice and hot. The service was excellent and the staff were very pleasant. I would have liked apple crumble for desert, but it was all sold out. Probably best to get an early sitting! There were plenty of well behaved dogs about, so we’ll take ours next time.

Best Sunday Lunch in Cumbria

Fantastic all round service, staff were welcoming and the food was very high quality. Two of our party were vegan and it was great to see some vegan options on the menu including a non dairy ice cream which you rarely find in pubs and restaurants. Very happy and as we are moving to the area we will be back! The only minor criticism I have is that I would have liked to see one or two more real ales on offer.

We had a lovely evening in the mezzaluna. The food was lovely as always , the service was excellent, very helpful and friendly staff.

We dined Saturday 11of November we have eaten here so many times the praise I can give the restaurant is endless best food staff are so friendly fab place to dine in 7years i and our party have never had reason to complain that itself speaks volumes about the mezzaluna my favourite place to eat will never get bored with it

Great restaurant with fantastic friendly staff and very reasonable prices. We have been going for years and we travel 30 miles from home to go. Superb atmosphere as well and we have never been disappointed.

Ate there twice while on 5 day break in November 2023, Gammon first night and scampi followed by Laura's white chocolate cheesecake on the second night. Both meals were excellent. The cheesecake was to die for, absolutely delicious... well done Laura. I would highly recommend the Pheasant Inn for food and excellent friendly service.

A warm, comfortable pub this has a good atmosphere and the food is excellent. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It was busy on a Monday night, so it's advisable to book. We always come to The Pheasant when in Keswick.
