We enjoyed a lovely meal here with friends. The food was good. The pub has a welcoming feel to it , and the staff were great.

Friendly efficient service and excellent food!

We went on Tuesday of this week to celebrate my friends 70th Birthday, 2 close friends also came, who had never been before, we were very impressed with the service , food was also very good and plentiful ,lovely and hot and a good choice of veg, it was a very enjoyable evening , nice surprise when they bought out a candle for the birthday girl , and sang happy birthday even though they were very busy, my other friend was so impressed has booked to go again in the Christmas period, all i can say is keep up the good work well done guys and, see you in the New Year xx

Lovely food, attentive staff and good atmosphere

visited on a cold and wet Saturday teatime with friends. We were greeted to a warm welcome delicious smells and friendly banter. The Service was second to none, the food was hot tasty and plentiful and our bill didn't break the bank . Will definitely be returning soon.

Great Food, service and Atmosphere for our Staff Christmas Lunch!

Another lovely lunchtime meal yesterday. We really enjoyed the lasagne. Excellent service too. Thank you.

I took my cousin for tea as a Christmas treat and she said it was the best lasange she has ever had! We both had a lovely evening. The staff were very friendly and attentive, we will definitely be back!

The food was delicious as usual! There seem to be less staff on and we had to wait a while at the bar for a drink when we arrived! Service at the table was good. We had to wait quite a while to pay ! We will come back but we feel there should be someone behind the bar to help and serve!

four of us had a carved turkey meal on 14th dec 2024 and it was DELICIOUS ! the staff as usual are friendly and helpful - what a winning combination. We had another booking somewhere on the 20th but after such a good experience we've cancelled that and rebooked the Anderton. Just Yummy !

Lovely food and atmosphere as usual . Felt a little forgotten by waitresses waiting for our dessert menu but acceptable as was quite busy. Will return

We had a lovely meal on Sunday. Wide range of menus to choose from. Thoroughly enjoyed king prawn starter and scrummy seafood pasta. My partner really enjoyed his lamb chops too. Only complaint was quality of bread with soup - such an easy thing to put right and then it's a definite 5!

We had a fabulous Sunday lunch here. The food and the service were faultless. We’re planning to come back once more before the end of our week’s holiday. Just a shame you’re not closer to Liverpool!

It is, without doubt, the best Sunday lunch/dinner that I have ever had, well done Ryan.

The food was excellent! The decor is lovely’s and very polite staff. Unfortunately we were sat at the tables near the bar which resulted in the feeling of eating in a waiting room. Customers waiting for their table were practically sat over us to the point where the waiter struggled to place the food on the stand before serving us. Customers were also staring at our food as we ate which became uncomfortable. It was a ruined first time experience simply due to where we were sat.

The staff are really friendly and attentive. The service is great. Not a long wait to be seen, order taken and food arriving. Good is very good, we're never disappointed. Fabulous choice and seasonal specials. Dessert menu is really good
