Had a really lovely evening at The Lunesdale. The food was of a high quality and also good value. I have been to many pubs serving frozen, badly cooked food at similar prices. The staff were all amazing and were particularly generous and kind to the children in our group which was so lovely (and rare) The atmosphere was of a proper pub with a personality run by people who clearly care about what they are doing. We will be back!
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleAnother excellent meal at CDJ, this time sat at the Chefs Table. Decided we would go for the tapas and as always it never disappointed. The Pork Wellington, was melt in the mouth, the flavours so balanced, Beef Short Rib, was so tasty, bone slid straight out and again melt in the mouth and left you wanting more. If you haven't tried this place yet then please do Dan has brought something to the area that is truly unique.
CDJ Riverside Bar and Kitchen – DarwenThis is the second weekend in a row where I’ve come for breakfast and they never disappoint. The service of the girls is 10/10 so lovely to chat to. Busy atmosphere as always definetly recommend booking ahead to save disappointment when they are full . Food was amazing . Could never fault the chef

Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleWednesday, 9th October, was a family meal for 7 of us. The Whitchaff was quieter than usual which is why I gave only 4 for atmosphere. However, we had lovely meal and enjoyed our time at the pub. Thank you to the staff for looking after our table.

So we did leave a little hungry, especially for the price it was!!! That said, fish was lovely, so was the service.

Waitresses (aside from 1) didn’t smile much, and we didn’t feel like they were happy to be there or provided us with a personal experience. Nice relaxing atmosphere and good selection of beers / wines and spirits.
CDJ Riverside Bar and Kitchen – DarwenWe visited the ship inn for our 20th wedding day. We enjoyed a very friendly service and delicious food. In my opinion for the money you get plenty of food and I was really full after the greek salad I decided. My husband enjoyed the fettucini and after that a really rich cheesecake. The waiter went into the kitchen immediately to aks about the flavour of the todays cheesecake. Thank you very much for the nice experience.
Ship Inn – LancasterGood service. Food was nice. I had ribeye steak and chip, with a tiny jug of peppercorn sauce. Paid £25 for it. A little bit of salad to accompany the meal wouldn't have gone amiss. Lettuce, tomato? Not expensive is it. Tiny jug of sauce was too hot to hold, so I tried with my serviette, it slipped and spilled all over the table. So, if you're going to put the sauce in a separate jug, and it be so hot to hold, at least get jugs with a handle. Overall, unimpressed.

A’Vucciria – RawtenstallLovely pub location, looked forward to couple of beers and a nice meal, did not enjoy the selection of disinterested surly children working bar and floor, could barely contain their over privileged contempt for customers actually wishing to be served. Food looked the part however different components of meal either boiling hot or cold. Real shame as we had looked forward to our evening out but found ourselves bitching about how shite and disappointing the Water Witch was... Just a suggestion... Employ some experienced older staff please, the students just ain't up to the job

Got there we didn't realise they didn't serve alcohol but honestly we didn't need it we had bottled water and the Indian food was the best l ever tasted l had slow cooked lamb highly recommend Service was brill also even though we were told they were short on staff thankyou
