Beautiful setting / lovely views - the food was hot and very tasty and the desserts were lovely too - similar price to other pub venues but food here much better. We visit regularly but it was the first time we had taken my mum and dad. They were very impressed with everything. Highly recommended.

Our favourite venue in Penwortham. The food is excellent and a level above most other offerings around. The service was first class - attentive but not overbearing and the atmosphere is always great. The venue is quite small and gets busy at times so book ahead.

Booked Sunday Lunch rather Disappointed with the meal Food tepid warm veg hard Roast Potatoes hard to Ordered a sticky Toffee Pudding which seemed like a slice of fruit cake with honey drizzled on it so disappointed with the dessert too Even though the place was empty so staff not under massive pressure to serve many customers

We booked a table for 8pm. Restaurant was fairly empty. Our poppadoms were served quite quickly, but the mains took a while to arrive. Food was ok. Not spectacular. I was disappointed that when we ordered some water, we were served 4 x individual glass bottles of mineral water. My friend noticed (after we had opened them unfortunately), that every other table had carafes of tap water. I asked the waiter why we had not been given this option. He was quite argumentative, but eventually, because he could see i was not happy, took my bottle and glass and said he would refund mine. Terrible way to resolve this dispute. Would not visit again

Firstly can I say the food was excellent which is obviously the main reason for the visit . The staff were very prompt in getting drinks and food order then that was pretty much it . We were asked if everything was ok when we had almost finished which it was . We weren’t offered coffee or a dessert just asked if we wanted to pay . The waitress came with the bill and the card machine to complete the transaction all in one go . Basically felt as though we were being told it was time to go . The singer was very loud and we couldn’t have a decent conversation . This was probably my error in that I wasn’t aware there was live music . She was however excellent and her songs were amazing

Food was excellent as always, lovely atmosphere, restaurant is bright and very clean, service was excellent as always. Food is good vale for money, would recommend to family and friends.
