The Dog Inn – BlackburnFriday catch up with friends before our holidays. Great wines, beers & pizzas. Excellent service too.
Rileys Loft – ChorleyFood was delicious! Prices are very good. Staff were lovely with perfect level of attentiveness. Interior isn’t perhaps what you’d expect, very modern, open space. Highly recommend a visit! If I lived nearer I’d definitely return.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleBooked using the online system for 6:15 last Saturday only to get a phone call later in the day to say that they had no tables at that time and that I could have 5:00 or 7:15, neither of which was suitable for us. I appreciate that things can change but, if you have an online booking system it must be kept up to date. We will be trying again next weekend as the food is always excellent.
Papa Luigis – ChorleyHaven’t been to the Plough at Eaves for a while but unfortunately the meal wasn’t great four of the party said there food was ok but two of the party had fish pie and the chef forgot the fish I only had five very small prawns and loads of mashed potatoes the grated cheese on top was good but the clue is in the name fish , the place itself is ready for a face lift and the flag floors a good scrub, sorry but wouldn’t recommend it,
The Plough At Eaves – PrestonWe have dined here quite a few times the pizzas are delicious. Its a wonderful atmosphere and there are plenty of choices with the drinks.
Rileys Loft – ChorleyAnother lovely meal with wine
Quattro’s – OrmskirkLovely food, great atmosphere and wonderful attentive staff. Great menu with something for everyone.
Papa Luigis – ChorleyFriday night catch up with a friend, the place was buzzing, glad we booked. Staff were attentive, professional and friendly. Food was tasty , great cocktail, will definitely be back.
Rileys Loft – ChorleyThis was a Friday night birthday meal with excellent service and food (if rather large portions!) We were pleased to find that soft drink costs were very reasonable, given the rip off prices charged in many venues. Excellent: would recommend!
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleSad to say this was a very disappointing meal. Badly prepared food this week - confirmed that a sou chef/junior chef had made the lunches. Greek salad contained more than 100grams of olives - you had to fight through the olives to find anything else. Fish pie was overcooked - completely dry where all the sauce had boiled out. We will be taking a break from the Lunesdale until we hear that is a proper chef at all times - Staff were lovely. I think the review from "Caroline and Joe" below is a fake "masterclass in modern gastronomy" - clueless.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleWe discovered that the restaurant at the local Premier Inn had closed so The pub, about ten minutes away was one of the local options. Lovely historica country pub with an excellent selection of food available either from a bar menu or full sit down restaurant. We tried the bar menu and thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
The Plough At Eaves – PrestonAmazing food, good selection and plenty of it. The Staff couldn’t do enough for us moved our table when they realised my grandmother had mobility issues and were constantly checking in. Thank you all
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleHad a pizza starter between us was pretty decent tbh a little greasy but overall good. My partner had a lasagna and rated it 6/10 I had a carbonara and couldn’t eat it as it was quite salty a rich.
Papa Luigis – ChorleyNo Arrabbiata had it for years taken off the menu
Quattro’s – OrmskirkThis is one of my parents favourite places, spent the afternoon there celebrating my Dads birthday. My Dad enjoyed several pints of the Ploughs finest Thwaites Amber brew….
The Plough At Eaves – PrestonReally good food, accommodated really well to celiac.
