A’Vucciria – RawtenstallExcellent food and service as always .
Quattro’s – OrmskirkHad a great Xmas Eve afternoon here, great staff, beers and wine, amazing pizza too, all properly priced.
Rileys Loft – ChorleyArrived 30 mins early - this wasn’t an issue for the staff who showed us to our table immediately. We had to ask to place our orders after around 25 mins The food quality was excellent and it was served quite quickly once ordered and was hot. The area we were sat in by the smoking area was cold - not helped by the radiator and fire not being on despite it being a cold day So overall a mixed experience this visit
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallI don't usually write reviews but I feel compelled to, in the hope that the owner reads it and makes some improvements. I visited as this restaurant has previously had a good reputation. We pre-booked but that wasn't necessary as the restaurant was deadly quiet. It was cold inside and definitely in need of some TLC. The toilets were very cold and there was no hot water which was concerning. I decided not to use the toilet as it was unclean and so cold. Our food arrived way too quickly for it to have been freshly made. The sauce on both our curries was gelatinous and unappetising. There didn't appear to be any vegetables in the sauce as suggested on the menu. The food was served on cold dishes and plates which didn't help as the room was so cold too. The only acceptable and possible fresh item was the naan bread. Please take note Sultan of Lancaster and make improvements. Retaining customers is key in a competitive and difficult climate. I work in the food industry so know the challenges.
Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterGorgeous, fresh, well presented tasty food again at The Traders Arms. This is becoming our ‘go too’ for great food & it is always warm & comfortable with the hosts looking after us well. The service is fantastic & with all courses of our order so good, we cannot fault it & have booked again.
The Traders Arms – BlackburnI booked a Christmas meal for 30 of my fitness class members. They were all delighted with the food, service and atmosphere. Quite a few commented on how the price was very reasonable compared to other places. Most of all, the food tasted home-cooked. Thank you!
Bees Kitchen and Deli – ChorleyRegular visitors to Bread and Butter and have always enjoyed brunch, tapas and Sunday Lunch! On the occasion it was for a festive afternoon tea. Excellent food, great service and good value! Looking forward to our next visit.

The Traders Arms – BlackburnLovely atmosphere. Friendly, helpful staff and good food. Great place for a family get together.
Finsley Gate Wharf – BurnleyLovely food and great service. Never had a bad meal here and it has a lovely atmosphere.
Bread and Butter – PrestonExcellent food, cooked to perfection. Great value for money considering the excellent quality, taste and amount given. Service was excellent and it had a lovely atmosphere. Thank you and looking forward to returning soon.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleFood was good, table service was warm, friendly and prompt. Issue on arrival with the reservation, explained to the manager but felt this wasn’t really listened to. Was required to show a screenshot of booking before being shown to our table. Was then told that there were plenty of tables and that it wouldn’t be a problem. Feel that too much was made of this despite it being a mistake by the staff/booking system. Not an enjoyable start to the experience.
Maxy Farm Pantry & Restaurant – PrestonLovely food and service as always but felt a bit rushed as only allowed the table at lunch time for an hour and 15 mins which is a bit short for a Christmas get together. This wasn’t mentioned when I booked.
