Celebrated a birthday this week at the Malthouse adults and a very active 3yr old!. Food and service was excellent, wish I had asked the waitress's name to give her a shout out. Will be going back again.

Absolutely fantastic food! Amazing that it is all GF, as have a celiac and it was great that he could eat everything! Great service too!

Had supper there and the food was good and so was the service. Just a bit of an issue when it came to the bill. We were charged for everyone having the meal deal and we didnt. So just check your bill properly before paying. The mistake was rectified the next day. We will go back there again for a meal.

Great location and lovely old pub. Food was very good and plenty of it, but not overloaded. Service was excellent with plenty of cheerful chat from lovely friendly waiting staff. Would definitely recommend. Only marked down slightly on atmosphere because the eating area was quite quiet.

Absolutely fabulous, I cannot recommend highly enough. Nothing to fault at all. The food, the drinks, the staff are all top tier. Exactly how a pub should be. It sets a standard that most others cannot reach

Pub Review: Great Atmosphere, Needs Menu/Value Adjustments The pub is really nice and welcoming with excellent service and a great atmosphere. The Brisket Roast was a major highlight: exceptional, very tender, and the portion size was generous. However, there are a few areas for improvement: Menu Suggestions Roast Chicken: The half-chicken portion is difficult to eat, especially on a roast, and many customers prefer boneless meat. I strongly suggest adding a boneless chicken breast option to the menu. Value and Portions Side Dishes: The portion sizes for sides need improvement. The £4 Cauliflower Cheese Bake was mostly sauce and only contained about four small florets of cauliflower, which felt like poor value for the price. Overall Pricing: I felt the general pricing was slightly unreasonable. Increasing side portions would significantly help the perception of value. I would go again for the atmosphere and the brisket, but I'd likely choose a different dish next time.

We recently hosted a baby shower at The Swan Taphouse, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. The staff were exceptionally accommodating, attentive, and professional throughout the entire event. Nothing was too much trouble, and every detail was handled with care and efficiency. They ensured that all guests were well looked after and catered to the needs of both the mum- and dad-to-be superbly. The venue provided the perfect setting, and the level of service truly exceeded our expectations. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team at The Swan Taphouse for helping us create such a memorable and enjoyable celebration. Highly recommended for anyone looking to host a special occasion.

We had a lovely meal there, there was 4 of us, friendly atmosphere, and clean, there is plenty of room in the pub, and the car park is quite big aswell the staff are all ways happy to help.

Food was good as ever but on this occasion the service really let the experience down. Table was booked for 14:00 and didn’t receive the mains untill 15:45 which was too long of a wait, had to question the staff how long it was going to be, to be told it was just being plated which took 15 more minutes. The sides came out as starters which we asked to be as sides. The table was pre booked for 7 people so it wasn’t as if it was a walk in order. Staff didn’t seem to understand why we was a little confused un happy about the wait. All in all food was good service was terrible.
