Fantastic afternoon tea. Really enjoyed the savoury offering - so much better than the usual boring sandwiches. Sweet treats also really tasty although would have been nice to have more jam and cream. Great value for money. Attentive friendly service.

Both mains had different vegetables than those shown on the menu, and the meat was very overcooked and dry. The chocolate brownie was also very dry. More like a chocolate biscuit really. For the price, we expected much better.
The White Hart – IronbridgeWe were made to feel we were an inconvenience. Booked a table for 8pm and the booking said the table would be held for 20 minutes. We arrived at 8:10 to be told that the kitchen closes at 8 but we’re prepared to hold if we hurriedly and ordered. Why accept pre bookings if that is when the kitchen closes. Surly waitress made us feel very unwelcome. We decided to leave, and won’t be returning. We’ll take our money to the many other restaurants nearby.

The Queens Head – OswestryWe used a voucher for the Smokehouse afternoon tea and were very happy with it. The waitress was very welcoming and friendly. The savouries made it for me. The meat was tender and the sauces were flavoursome.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordI had booked afternoon tea as a deal from Groupon to be taken at The Bull at Roddington. Unfortunately The Bull ceased trading on the previous Thursday so we were offered a place at The Last inn at Newport, which we accepted. The service was reasonable and one member of staff agreed to me having a latte instead of tea. The food came quickly but was a disappointment. For 1 person we got a half round of Sandwiches cut into 3 fingers which were soggy and limp, especially the tuna ones, way too much mustard on the ham ones and what looked like a Greggs sausage roll cut in half. The pastries were so small they were barely a mouthful , and were no more than an inch cube, 1 each , a minute chocolate eclair and a small chocolate cake between us and a scone with jam and cream. !!!!!! The original cost was £29.90 for 2 people so I expected to get £29.90’s worth of food as it was a half price deal, we barely had £8 worth of food. I would not recommend booking for afternoon tea , I cannot comment on the other menus.

The Queens Head – OswestryService was terrible, we weren't asked for a drink order had to go to the bar ourselves. Waitress and waiter weren't present, could see they were on their phones. Not friendly and welcoming. 2 of the meals were briskets when ordered rib of beef. Left with dirty dishes on the table for ages, I had to ask the waiter to come over, I could see I disturbed him from his phone.
