The Queens Head – OswestryAnother superb Sunday lunch. The food was lovely and the service was exceptional. It is a real pleasure to go to restaurant that has the right number of staff who are all very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
The Queens Head – OswestrySeveral years ago we regularly visited for Sunday lunch and thought we’d give it another try. We weren’t disappointed; the sharer traditional Sunday roast was exceptional value for money and our dogs thoroughly enjoyed what we were unable to finish. To summarise, good quality and value for money food in a lovely establishment. Highly recommended.
The Golden Ball Inn – TelfordBought a Groupon voucher for the smokehouse afternoon tea for 4 people. Table was set and ready for us on arrival. We paid for a few extras, chips and onion rings. We were offered bottomless tea/coffee. The service was great, food was delicious and staff were friendly and efficient. Location was lovely. Would definitely recommend and will no doubt be returning. Thank you to all concerned.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordExcellent food and drink at reasonable prices. Friendly, cheerful and efficient service.
The Queens Head – OswestryExcellent meal as always, menu with loads of choice. Sure and team provide a very high level of service. My wife enjoyed her birthday meal with two of our dearest friends.
Suree’s Kitchen – IronbridgeOur Home Group from church had a meal at the Raven to celebrate 'end of term'. There were fourteen of us and we enjoyed a nice lunch. We had placed our orders, by email, two days before, and the food was served, as ordered and quite soon after our arrival. Staff were pleasant throughout. We would definitely like to return on a similar occasion. Two minor observations: One of our folk thought the Mac and Cheese was a bit low on cheese, and another seemed to have been charged £2 for extra fries he hadn't asked for (with Ham, egg and chips). It has to be said, neither of them was very bothered about it. Those minor items apart, we were all very happy! We had a lovely relaxing time.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyExcellent food and service Highly recommend
The White Hart – IronbridgeAn excellent return visit. Easily accessible; staff very helpful; a good menu. An enjoyable relaxed visit. We will be back.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyAmazing food, we had 2 steaks which were cooked perfectly and excellent portions
The Gate – ShrewsburyHad a lovely meal and very good value for money. We sat on the terrace which was lovely the only downside was we had to come inside at 10 pm due to the terrace having to close. Would definitely return
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeLoved the place. Great and different menu. Meat was top quality. Will be going back. Only small gripe was chairs could have been a bit more comfortable.
The Gate – ShrewsburyWe love this place - food is great but service even better. 11 out of 10
The White Hart – IronbridgeExcellent food ,very good portion. Will come again for a Sunday lunch .
Water Rat – IronbridgeWe really enjoyed the Sunday roast dinner, and for a reasonable price, along with the choices of cocktails and mocktails. However, once we received our food, we were not checked on by any member of staff for the remainder of our visit. We sat waiting for 20 minutes with empty glasses and plates, hoping to catch someone's eye to ask for a refill or dessert, but the waiting staff were quite oblivious to us. My partner even caught the eye of one of the waitresses at one point and waved, but they ignored her. I would understand if it was busy, but at the time of us receiving our food, there was only one other table seated, with 2-3 more being seated afterwards. There was at least 3 members of staff, including management, and we ended up going to the bar to ask for the bill and paid there, which I don't think is really how our evening should have ended. It was a real shame as we loved the food, and the restaurant is lovely, but there needs to be more training for staff in regards to checking in on customers.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordThe Malthouse staff were welcoming and friendly. The food was really nice and well prsented.
The Malthouse – TelfordHaven’t eaten here for quite a while but wasn’t disappointed didn’t have to wait long to order, food came out very quickly and there was a lot of it. The staff were very friendly, the only negative was the parking, people are parking on the pub car park to go down by the river they don’t even go into the restaurant. This needs to be addressed as if we hadn’t been given permission to park outside some doors there was just nowhere to go. We did watch when we were having our meal how many cars went belonging to random people, there was a lot it the bottom of the car park, if we hadn’t been allowed to park where we did we would of just had to leave, this isn’t good for customer at all.
Water Rat – Ironbridgevery nice place
