The food and service was outstanding. The venue and staff made the food shine as much as them and it.

We had high hopes based upon the menu and having seen other reviews. Upon arrival we were taken promptly to our table in the snug, and told that someone would be with us shortly to take our drinks orders. Nearly 15 minutes later after numerous other tables had been seated and orders taken, we were finally served. a further 15 minutes and multiple chases later, we received our appetisers before our drinks to be told that the ticket printer had failed and that’s why we had been overlooked. Miraculously whilst this was being explained after challenging our drinks appeared at the same time. We ordered cocktails, and one of them was very heavy and the fruit juice and lacking in the alcohol. We didn’t get a chance to ask for any further drinks as no one was ever around or came to see if we wanted anything. Throughout the evening, we could hear the Kitchen, service bell ringing excessively and even they were calling out loud for service repeatedly. Even when we came to ask for the bill at the end of the evening it took two attempts to get the bill right and even longer for a card machine to appear this process took nearly 15 minutes again Other tables were experiencing the same issues. The food was really good and we would recommend on that basis only. However, the service was really lacking overall from a quality point of view.

Great food when it arrived and it was nice and hot but service was not good, felt forgotten about all night, staff took along time to take orders, we had to ask for mayo as we were not asked about any sauces they just walked off and i didnt even give us a steak knife for a steak

Having eaten here several times at various times of year you can always depend on the high standard of service, food quality and value for monies. Highly recommended

I haven’t been here for about 10 years, and it hasn’t changed in the decor at all. Very outdated and worn decor and furniture. Could do with a revamp as tables felt sticky due to age: needs either new or sanded down and re-oiling. Food was ok for the money, and quick service; considering there was a party in the other room as well. Overall, I would not go back.

Arrived at The White Hart 45 minutes before our booking & ordered 2 drinks at the bar & sat outside to enjoy the last of the spring sunshine. We then went into the restaurant part of the pub to enjoy a lovely meal & ordered the same drinks we’d had earlier. When the bill came, we were charged £5 extra for the 2 drinks that we’d earlier been charged at the bar. There was also an “optional” 10% service charge added that was not offered as optional by the staff. I’ve no problem giving a tip but if it’s not optional, don’t describe it as such on the bill. We enjoyed our meal but won’t return for the reasons above.

Had the afternoon tea deal for 2 and was pleasantly surprised. It was excellent value for money and the food was tasty and plenty of selection … we could not finish the cream scones so took them home . We are going to repeat our visit in the near future.

Visited as a large table, everyone was extremely happy with their meals, was hot, good portion size and all came out together! The staff were all very friendly and had very good customer service. Only thing we had noticed is was the gravy was missing from all 3 beef brisket meals, this was only noticed upon chatting after the meal saying it could have done with a sauce and realising it said on the menu it should have been included but this is the only minor thing. Everything else was superb and we will definately return again!! Thank you again x

First time visiting in a few years with friends who had come to visit ,we was very pleased with the service and all our food was excellent

We had tea for two which was delicious. Friendly staff, good service and the place looks great. We've booked to eat there again!

We had a great experience at the restaurant. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the setting was good and there was a good buzz in the place. The food was really good. The Mojitos were perfect. We will be back.
