Excellent meal as always, would highly recommend.

Excellent meal as always, would highly recommend.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyAmazing Food, waited nearly an hour but restaurant was very busy so it’s understandable. Service was great and staff were very friendly. Definitely recommend. Wife commented on the fish, she said it was the best fish she’d ever had. Not too badly priced either.
The Malthouse – TelfordOrdered 2 meals, one meal was fine but the 2nd meal was accompanied with cold vegetables which we sent back. After the first meal was consumed, the 2nd meal complete with hot vegetables arrived, so both ate alone. You would have thought that as the place was virtually empty they could at least provide 2 hot meals. Given 10% discount on the price of the cold meal only. Very disappointing, what a shame as it has been a while since we visited and expected it to be nice.
The Last Inn – NewportNew-years eve , food as always "excellent " Only down side booked table over phone to request specific area to sit , booked but when double checked 3 weeks later no booking found , new booking via on line with same request this time confirmed by text . Made a visit two days before booking whilst have food and drink ,booking was confirmed yet again ,day of booking totally different table right at the back of the restaurant, no attempt was made by manager even thro what I booked was confirmed via text and in person Spoilt part of the evening .
The Last Inn – NewportWe booked a table at the Malthouse for New Years Eve. It was busy and all the staff were excellent and well organised. The service was also very good and we were happy to tip the waiting staff. We had the Fillet Steak Beef Wellington main course which at £25 was good value. The refurbed dining room standard is great as is the wonderful location by the Severn. I also found the quality of beer excellent. A perfect combination for our new year celebrations. Well done everyone that worked on New Years Eve. You worked hard during unsocial hours whilst all us others were out having a good time. Thank you.
The Malthouse – TelfordLovely country pub, but a bit chilly told central heating wasn’t working but radiator was on in the gents toilet so nice and warm in there, but not in the restaurant. We ordered a Sunday roast which was served within good time and glad to say we were not disappointed very nice, followed by delicious dessert even though the custard was a bit luke warm would of preferred it be hotter but not a deal breaker and will definitely be returning.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyGreat experience
The Malthouse – TelfordWanted a margarita but didn't have the constituents to make one, not a great start. Replacement cocktails were far too sweet to the point of being undrinkable. Had beef, chicken and pork . Chicken was bland and under seasoned. Two out of three I guess is acceptable.
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeFirst time visit to the restaurant. All 4 dishes were amazing especially the sea bass. Lovely waitress too. We will definitely be back.
The Tilley Raven – Shrewsbury4 adults and 2 children dined at the Swan on Boxing Day, 3 of the 4 adults had Fillet steak and all were cooked to perfection, nice thick cut of meat, taste was excellent,I have to admit very very surprised, and will be back and certainly recommend.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordHad our firm's practice Xmas dinner here; food was great and the service excellent. Thank you. A minor niggle was that the coffee machine had been turned off, so no post-dinner hot drinks for some of my staff. Instant coffee would have been acceptable perhaps? Would recommend for everything else, especially the Butcombe Bitter!
The Bull – ShrewsburyWe are regular diners at The Bull and the majority of the time we have no grumbles, however Christmas Day 2023 was a very underwhelming experience!!!
The Bull – ShrewsburyWe ate out this year for Christmas, it was lovely to not have the hassle of cooking. All the staff were excellent whilst we were there and the food was very nice indeed.
The Bull – ShrewsburyWelcomed by bar staff and shown to a table. Nice choice on lunch and main menus, both of which offering great value. Food was fresh, hot, tasty and decent portions. Decor and atmosphere could benefit from a little attention, but overall very satisfied with the experience.
The Last Inn – NewportVisited a few times. Service was very disappointing. We sat for over 20 minutes once seated to order drinks (there was only 2 other tables in our area so wasn't busy). Order the Christmas fayre menu and usually get crackers and festive looking table and didn't this year..
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordMeal for 4 last night. Nice welcoming place, nice environment with pleasant staff. Good menu choice, main course was very good, not massive but very tasty. Deserts sounded good on menu, looked nice on arrival but service 1st waiting to order main was very slow and then waiting for food to arrive was slow. Was asked if we needed anything else without being offered desert menu which seemed strange. For desert I chose banoffee and it seriously lacked taste certainly no taste of banana or toffee but it was a nice light sponge. Other deserts looked nice with no complaints. Overall a nice meal in a nice place, not too noisy but nothing special in the grand scheme of things
The Malthouse – TelfordAmazing food and amazing service. Highly recommend will definitely be back.
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeFood was fabulous, really tasty. Staff welcoming and helpful. Service good. Not busy when we were there so no waiting between courses. Only issue we had was with the price of soft drinks. For a large blackcurrant and soda we were charged £1.80 which is about average yet for a large orange squash made with tap water the charge was almost double at £3.25??? Food was good value for money but not our drinks.
