Head chef Russell Plowman joined Gilpin Lodge in January 2009 from the Michelin-starred L'Ortolan Restaurant in Berkshire. Prior to that he was at the Relais & Chateaux three-Michelin-starred Waterside Inn at Bray. More information on S Restaurant"What a lovely restaurant. We visited on Friday evening 27 August 2010 and enjoyed a fabulous meal in a spotlessly clean and relaxed environment. The food was wonderful and the staff were really polite and friendly without being intrusive. We will definitely visit again and recommend this restaurant to our friends. Thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable evening. "
