Lakes Balti House, Grange-over-Sands

Got to say I lived near Bradford for over 20 years & curry is my main love in life, this restaurant is very good & the people running it as equally as good. I read the menu & spoke with BOB & told him I had tried a different meal else where that wasn't on his menu, he laughed & said tell me what it was & we will do it for you! well he did & it was twice as good as the meal I had else where. The Other Lake District

For some people, the Lake District starts at Bowness Pier and ends in Ambleside. The slightly more adventurous might make it to Hawkshead or Coniston and old hands range as far north as Keswick or down to Newby Bridge at the southern tip of Windermere. But the fact is that beyond the well-frequented tourist hotspots, the Lake District and the unspoilt areas immediately surrounding it have plenty to offer the intrepid traveller – and that includes ...more
