Great service from Sam in the restaurant top class highly recommended

Good food helpful staff

We always stay at the Mere Court before flying on holiday. Fly/Park passages are good value and you stay in a lovely venue and have been at least 10 times. The food is always good and the menu is varied, staff are friendly and helpful and nothing is to much trouble.

Had a lovely meal at the Cheshire yeoman last Sunday, staff are amazing and attentive, food was lovely, and arrived shortly after ordering. I have read other people's comments regarding the heating, and we did find the same instance in December, however the Restaurant area was nice and warm this time, so no requirement for eating your roast dinner with your coat on. In all great experience.

We came for Sunday lunch and it was fabulous apart from the fact there was no Guinness Zero! Staff are lovely and friendly the food was delicious. We love it here and would highly recommend

Last minute decision to go to the Plough for a Sunday roast...they had a space at 2.30. Prompt friendly service and the food was delicious - hot, tasty, fresh and a generous portion. Couldn't fault anything about the meal - perfect. The only negative was a nearby table with 2 very loud children whose family just smiled through all the noise. Others around us were also surprised as we all thought young children were not able to come into the restaurant. That was the only disruption to a lovely dinner

Took mum and dad in their early 80 for their christmas presi, 1st time we have been. Fantastic from start to finish the setting the table the service and the food all perfect we loved it and are booking again very soon Superb thank you

Visited 6.30pm on a Friday. We've been several times before and always enjoyed. This time the food was excellent Hoi Sin Chicken Burger was delicious and my lambs liver was cooked well and plentiful in a fantastic onion gravy. I'd asked for chips instead of mash which worked really well. Starters didn't tempt us but the strong list of desserts did and went for spotted dick and a sticky toffee pudding both also very good. Beer and wine excellent too. A great visit and highly recommended.

Whilst don’t mind having to wait for our meal I did expect it to be hot and fresh. Unfortunately when my beef and ale pie arrived I’m afraid peas were cold and carrots lukewarm. Couldn’t my my fork into the first piece of beef but the rest of the pie was really nice. Mentioned this at the end of the meal and received an apology and told the chef would be informed

The sandwiches were very tasty on brown and white bread, and the scone was delicious with the jam and cream. Unfortunately the cakes were very small and quite disappointing. The waitress service was very good but the room was rather cold and my husband needed to put on his outside jacket.
