Rileys Taproom and Wine Bar – Chorleyfood was delicious & staff & service good My wife had the beef roast which was good value with lovely variety of vegetables I had the braised beef stroganoff. The meat was so tender & tasty. However the portion was huge & could be reduced by half
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleRoast Beef was chewy- Dad took his home for the dog as he couldn’t eat it. One member of our party ordered vegan roast. It came without the Yorkshire Pudding and cauliflower cheese which was to be expected but also didn’t include the green beans which was on the meat plate. Seems harsh to remove 3 items and not increase the veg portions and then charge same price. Also only half of our empty plates were removed after we finished so had to put them on empty table next to us. Staff were lovely but think there needs to be more of them ! We would go back but maybe not for Sunday Roast.
Finsley Gate Wharf – BurnleyWhat a fantastic place this is. Called in for a late lunch on our way up to the lakes and we were bowled over at how good it was. Very much a restaurant rather than a pub, the food is excellent. (Special mention for the 3 cheese soufflé. ) We will return - soon !
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleFood was delicious! Staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for our party of six. Atmosphere was very warm on a rainy Sunday afternoon Very good value for money Will definitely be back soon!
The Traders Arms – BlackburnI booked online which was very straightforward . Staff were friendly and we were seated quickly at our table . The food was lovely, lots of choice on the menu and a great specials menu too . It was quite busy for a Sunday evening and our food did take a little while to arrive but, we were busy chatting so it didn’t matter too much, we will definitely be back .
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallAmazing. Some of the best food I have ever had. I tried something new the halibut from the specials menu can’t say how good it was .staff were excellent as usual you can’t fault them. Extremely clean which is my issue. Only thing I would comment on the wine by the glass is expensive I know it’s go quality but for what you got ( tiny glass of Prosecco) I could have bought a bottle in the supermarket I know there had to be a mark up but that was really expensive. You have to go here recommend ten out our ten
Quattro’s – OrmskirkBeen coming to Verdes for almost 30 years. Great ambience, excellent food and always enjoyed every meal we’ve ever had here.
Verdes Restaurant – ChorleyWhen we walked in there was a really good atmosphere, very busy. We were situated on table 10 which was good , it would have been too noisy in the main restaurant ( a lge party in). Service with a smile the girls were polite and helpful. We went for the Sunday 2 course lunch deal. Food was excellent and plenty of it. Highly recommend the brisket. We will definitely be going again. 5/5
The Hapton Inn – BurnleyGreat local eatery. Lovely staff, fantastic chefs and top class food. The Korean fried chicken breast is wickedly good. Good idea to book as this place is very popular.
Bread and Butter – PrestonAnother delightful lunch at Verdes. The white fish dish was delicious. The atmosphere and surrounding are comfortable and well designed. The staff are considerate but not overbearingly so. Thank you
Verdes Restaurant – ChorleyWe have been here several times and as always lovely staff and ambience. This time we sat by the roaring fire which was lovely on a cold wet day. We were a party of 4 and everyone except myself enjoyed their meals which were well prepared and looked appetising However I choose the cheese snd onion pie which I have had in the past, but this time it was a poor offering, cheese and stringy onions in a ramekin topped by a thin pastry top which was not great. I would have said something at the time but as we were there for a celebratory meal it wasn’t the time to say anything and spoil what was otherwise a lovely occasion We will be back as in the past it’s always been perfect and the staff were as lovely as always Hopefully just a blip ….?
3 Millstones Inn – ClitheroeWe have been here 5 times now, the food is delicious, the steak and Stilton pie is really tasty, so is the sausage and black pudding sausage roll, in fact everything else we have had. I wish they did smaller potions the staff are very friendly.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallPerfect as always and thank you for making a big effort for my daughter's birthday!! ❤️

3 Millstones Inn – ClitheroeOne of our favourite date nights! Outstanding food, lovely setting, attentive service and fantastic staff.
Quattro’s – OrmskirkFood is always nice here, disappointed to find out the share boards have been removed from the menu, myself and my friend would attend regularly for lunch to have 1 of these! Scored a little lower on service as I think cutlery and condiments should be put out as soon as the order is taken, rather than the food coming out and having to then ask for them, other than that all good
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallHonestly the best meal me and my husband has ever had. The food is delicious and high quality. The staff are lovely and the manager is so welcoming a friendly. Beautiful building and atmosphere also.
