We had the bottomless brunch which is very good value. The bar staff were great, apart from the man who seemed to be the supervisor who was quite condescending.

Met my family here for a birthday meal as pub was half way between us. Food and service excellent. I had mussels ,followed by duck an absolute treat my wife had chicken special and said it was one of the best she'd had juicy succulent. My girls both enjoyed there s ,so a great night had by all . Also nice to see those Chelsea bits behind bar.

I attended the bottomless brunch yesterday (have done lots with you and other places) and what an absolute disappointment it was!! Our table was 2-4pm we were sat down and left with no drinks for 20 minutes, then told between all 6 of us we could only have two jugs which left people drinking something they didn’t like, this was not stated online when I booked!! One guest ordered a lager which arrived tasting and smelling of some sort of washing up liquid which meant she then had to go a purchase another drink which she paid for!! Then whilst waiting to order shots at the bar the male manager doing the brunch was shouting in the waitress’s face that she doesn’t fucking listen then stormed off leaving her looking rather upset and embarrassed. This was done in front of your customers and is actually disgusting. We asked several times for our food which finally arrived at 4.20pm after our brunch had finished which meant if we wanted to eat it we would have to purchase more drinks that definitely was not going to happen. We could not wait to leave!! Iv sent this email before I leave a review online ect to give you chance to maybe explain why it was an awful experience, poor service awful manager and an all round awful experience! I haven’t received an apology or a resolution so I’m happy to share my review to prevent other people wasting time and money here!

Lovely meal but had to wait quite a long time. Staff really pleasant and helpful. Would definitely go there again but please take a look at refurbishing your toilets. Left a bit to be desired!

We were a party of 13 so had pre-ordered from a large and comprehensive menu, which included light bites to suit smaller appetites. Everyone enjoyed their meal and spoke of returning. Service good, atmosphere good, happy diners.

We had early dinner while staying overnight. Had olives and bread to share be main and this was nice, would have preferred pitted olives. Sea bass and vegetables was very good and had side of tasty veg. Steak and ale pie, which was a real pie, was also very good, with tasty mash and veg.

We booked a table for 4 of us. We hadn’t been to The Water Rat for some time. Food was excellent, restaurant was not very busy. Service was okay, but felt we were left waiting for some time to order and then for desert. The only thing I would say, is that it would be much more enjoyable eating our lovely dinner if the staff were not setting up literally all around us for breakfast the next morning… However the food was lovely !

A real hidden gem within beckbury. Great food and great service we were early but staff gladly seated us. Price point is just right and quality of meats are second to none. If I could change anything I would have had maybe quiet music on in the background. Given it was 1;30 on a Saturday there were only 3 other tables and it felt slightly silent at points. Doesn't take away from the excellent all round service and food.

Excellent bottomless brunch 24th May. Eve our hostess was a superb mixologist who kept her cool and was friendly and knowledgeable. Quality of cocktails good. Hilarious night, lots of fun, food and ambiance good. Definitely going again.
