I have been to the Alvanley a number of times for evening meals but this was my first Sunday lunch there. I think I can safely say that in my 76 years I have never had a better Sunday lunch in a restaurant anywhere

Alvanley Arms – TarporleyTwo of us and we both had fish, peas, skinny fries - small size. The fish was OK. Have had much nicer mushy peas at other places, yours were not tasty. We both has skinny fries - on one plate they looked fine on my plate some looked like they were from the bottom of the fryer very small and bitty. Not a meal to encourage a return visit.
