The Shepherds Rest Inn – TodmordenA family meal for 8 of us. We enjoyed the great, reliable quality of service and food - the Whitchaff is our favourite. You still don’t serve Diet Coke . . Pepsi Max is NOT the same and should not be offered as an alternative. In matters of taste, the customer is always right!
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallWarm welcome and nice atmosphere. Pizza delicious as usual with a wide range of desserts. We will be going back.
Papa Luigis – ChorleyBest Sunday lunch out we have had
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleFood excellent, staff delightful. Only downside is the room wasn’t quite comfortably warm enough
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleWarm friendly welcome. Calm comfortable atmosphere. Food was served and presented beautifully. Excellent menu and our choice was first class. Thank you very much.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleAwesome Sunday roast as always
Bread and Butter – PrestonRecent birthday visit for my partner’s birthday.food was lovely as always.wasnt overly impressed with the extremely small portion of sticky toffee pudding with a tiny scoop of ice cream which came to nearly £14..would rather pay for a starter in future as I don’t think this is value for money.
Quattro’s – OrmskirkAs always excellent food.
Quattro’s – OrmskirkExcellent food in a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Would highly recommend
Bread and Butter – PrestonExcellent food and service, we all enjoyed it and we were a party of 8. Would highly recommend the Sunday lunch!
Bread and Butter – PrestonSuch a gorgeous place to eat . We returned this time with elderly parents and our son and his partner. As always we were greeted warmly by staff and nothing as usual was too much trouble our food was delicious and the staff made a fuss of my son as it was his Birthday celebration. Would recommend the lobster linguini .
Quattro’s – OrmskirkAlways a good venue for wholesome foods. Extensive menus giving lots of choice. Recommend to book as limited walk in availability. Staff are good and friendly. Sometimes it takes a little time for food to arrive but at least you know food it freshly prepared. Like many resturants can be a little cool so take a jumper. Overall a truly great venue.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallI booked the Lunesdale for 5/2 at 1pm for 4 our friends arrived before us and were told there was no reservation under our name which obviously perplexed them - and me when we arrived soon after particularly as I had received confirmation of the booking on email. The service was prompt, although a bit more training might be in order on how to deliver food and clear the table - lots of leaning across people with plates rather than walking around the table to deliver/collect plates. Or asking us to pass the plate. Two of us had fish and chips, the fish was over cooked and dry and the mushy peas tasted burnt. One person had the kebab, the chicken was tough and another had a chicken and broad bean dish, the chicken was overcooked and dry. Not a good result. With a bottle of wine and a glass of red and one starter the bill was £137.00 for a disappointing experience.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleVery enjoyable evening sat by the log fire. We had starters, mains and coffees - all very good. Our two servers were very attentive, polite and efficient. Would recommend.
The Shepherds Rest Inn – TodmordenVery professional efficient and friendly staff. Food is always first class quality. Extensive menu ,pleasant decor ,comfortable seating and relaxing music.
Papa Luigis – ChorleyFriday tea out with friends in a group of 6. We've been to the Whitchaff too many times to count and rarely had any cause for complaint. Friendly staff, efficient service and delicious food, as usual.
