Amazing food and staff. Good pub
The Golden Ball Inn – TelfordGreat meal and service
The Queens Head – OswestryWent on Easter Sunday and had a lovely meal, food was very nice and portions were decent! Staff were friendly too-we will be returning next time we are in Wem
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyAbsolutely lovely steakhouse, hidden gem with fantastic ambience, my steak was amazing and cooked to perfection, we also tried the cocktails which was on a par with any high end cocktail bar. The staff were very attentive and informative, we will definitely be back when next in Shrewsbury.
Ribeye Shrewsbury – ShrewsburyBooked online, no hassle. Arrived and was seated straight away. Drinks ordered almost immediately but then we were left for 20 mins before coming back for our food order, and it wasn’t too busy. Food was ordered, one steak was ordered and the waitress didn’t ask how it should be cooked, or if a sauce was required. 3 roast beef dinners were ordered, everything was nice apart from the roast potatoes, which were hard and waxy, like they were reheated. We have eaten here before, with no issues - hence our return. Just hoping it was a one off.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyLovely meal and the waiter was very polite … very slow service even when it was quiet. Left with plates on the table for quite some time. Came over to ask if we wanted any more drinks … but left the plates to sit with us for a bit longer. Kids pudding took ages and when they came they were burnt to the bottom of the cookie dough pot. Love the pub and the feel but areas really could do with up grading … the toilets looked grubby and down trodden and even the out side over the years has gone down hill.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordHaving been previously I was quite disappointed in the new menu, previous choice and dishes themselves were amazing, now it’s just ok. Soft tacos were not nice at all, very dry and included mashed potato as a filling which I found an odd choice. Its such a shame as we used to love it!
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeIf I could leave 0 stars, then I would. The lady at the bar (long black hair, unwelcoming expression) greeted us. However, it was barely a greeting. More of a mean stare-down. She sat took us to our table, and before we had even looked at the menus and sat down, asked what we wanted to drink. She stood impatiently waiting for me to go and have a look at the ales. The food was awful- cold, and service took forever. I’m not convinced that my roast chicken was cooked all the way through- I think the EHO are long overdue an inspection in that place. Overall, deeply unsatisfied and unpleasant, nasty staff
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyDelicious food. Steak could have been warmer though.
Ribeye Shrewsbury – ShrewsburyVisited with my family and had an amazing roast, lots of extra gravy and veg! lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.
The Golden Ball Inn – TelfordWe had a Sunday roast on 29th March, could not fault it,food plentiful, tasty, fresh and the service was excellent, tables set out nice too. Also during the stay we had breakfast, could not fault that either so 2 very happy customers.
The White Hart – IronbridgeWe absolutely love going to Suree’s. the food is consistently outstanding every single time. It’s one of those places you just know is going to be good before you even sit down. Whenever my mum and dad come down from Newcastle, it’s the first place they ask to go, which says everything really. They love it just as much as we do. Suree is so friendly and welcoming, and the staff who serve us are always lovely too. You genuinely feel looked after when you’re there, not just like another table. Everything about the place is great. the food, the atmosphere, the service. It’s easily one of our favourites.
Suree’s Kitchen – IronbridgeAbsolutely Loved it - food was great, restaurant looked amazing and great service Overall it created a atmosphere that worked for couples and groups as the different rooms allowed personal space
Ribeye Shrewsbury – ShrewsburyDisappointed in this visit. Having had a wonderful experience previously we took some friends and had a not so great experience. Unengaged staff who didn't know the menu, cause they 'don't normally work there', seating that has fixings missing so were dangerous to sit on, wobbly tables, freezing cold and wet side plates provided for 'hot food ' and some very overcooked and dry food.
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeAbsolutely delicious meal, all freshly made and super tasty. Beautifully presented food with really friendly service. The prawn toast was amazing.
Suree’s Kitchen – IronbridgeStayed with motorhome on car park from Friday to Sunday. Had a meal in Water Rat Friday evening with friends. Excellent value 2 course meal and a drink for £25.00. Also went in for drinks over weekend which were reasonably priced. Excellent, good portioned food, very friendly and efficient staff, and glorious setting by river. We were made very welcome with our motorhome and 2 dogs. Would highly recommend.
Water Rat – IronbridgeTook our new neighbours to Queens Head for their first visit. They were delighted with their meal as were my husband and I. Excellent choice on tge menu and on tge Specials board. All freshly cooked to perfection. Service was excellent eith friendly, helpful staff who were very knowledgeable of their food and drink. Look forward to visiting again soon.
