Suree’s Kitchen – IronbridgeAmazing hospitality, food was delicious and you could tell it had been locally sourced. Service was first class, such lovely friendly staff.
The White Hart – IronbridgeGreat food. I had Cajun salmon, roasted veg and new potatoes. Gluten free and delicious. My husband had steak pie, chips and green veg. He was very impressed. Too full for dessert! Staff were lovely and helpful despite the place being full.
The Queens Head – OswestrySuck amazing food, brilliant and lovely service. Will definitely be going back.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordExcellent food, clean restaurant and polite staff. The menu had lots to pick from that went beyond your usual burgers and pizza. Highly recommend!
The Queens Head – OswestryBoth the food and the setting was nice and pleasant. Service was slow and needs improvement, waited too long for our drinks to arrive and the bill - it’s not a big restaurant with many covers and therefore don’t feel this is an excuse for the slow service.
Ribeye Shrewsbury – ShrewsburyFood and service was amazing, cocktails great!! Would recommend.
The Underground – ShrewsburyReally disappointed… My partner and I wanted to come here for Valentine’s Day (as we have done in previous years) and booked it well in advance to secure a table (weeks before the 14th) … when we rang I specifically asked for a table downstairs and because I had booked it so early in advanced we didn’t think this would be a problem. We arrived quarter to 5 (15 minutes prior to booking time) - we were directed downstairs but then told our table would be upstairs! At this point, there were two tables for two set up and ready to go! I explained that when I booked we only wanted a table downstairs but was told it wasn’t possible! Due to being so disappointed we left the restaurant! I understand the pressures of booking on a busy day, but fail to see why we couldn’t have had one of the free tables that were available at that time - were other people giving preference over us?? Bookings weeks in advanced should have secured us a table where we had requested! Extremely disappointed as the seating area downstairs is a totally different environment to the top! We think twice before booking again on a special occasion!
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeFantastic food as always, have never been let down, and the a staff are always friendly, and polite. Special mention for Freddy, the adorable pub doggy.
The Queens Head – OswestryA lovely welcome from smiling staff. Excellent choice of food. We were a party of 5 and all of our food choices were excellent. Plenty of food, hot and very tasty. Great value for money and a warm and inviting atmosphere. We had dogs with us and had a great table in the bar area.
The Queens Head – OswestryVisited on 14th February (Valentine’s Day) with my partner and our two girls. We arrived at 5pm for our table booking and were seated promptly. However, we quickly realised how cold it was inside the restaurant — so much so that my partner kept her coat on throughout. I mentioned this to staff and was told the heating would be turned up, but unfortunately it never seemed to improve. For starters, I had the chicken wings, which were nice but nothing special. My partner had the camembert and said it was lovely. The kids had garlic bread, which was just okay. Our mains arrived quite quickly. I ordered the Last Inn burger and fries, my partner had the chicken and prawn linguine, and the kids had mac and cheese. Sadly, this is where the experience really went downhill. My burger was extremely dry — I couldn’t finish it. My partner’s linguine was very oily, and the kids’ mac and cheese was also very dry with no creaminess at all, as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. By this point we were still cold and very disappointed, so we decided to leave. What was meant to be a lovely Valentine’s meal was completely ruined. When the bill arrived, we were initially expected to pay in full despite most of the food being left on our plates. It was only after I challenged this and explained how dry the meals were that they removed the burger — but still charged for the chips. Overall, a very disappointing experience on what should have been a special evening.
The Last Inn – NewportWe had an absolutely wonderful experience at Suree’s Kitchen. The host was genuinely brilliant—welcoming, attentive, and made us feel relaxed from the moment we arrived. The staff were incredibly friendly and impressively efficient, striking that perfect balance of being there when you need them without ever feeling rushed. And the food—just beautiful. Every dish looked stunning and tasted even better, clearly prepared with real care and creativity. It’s one of those places where everything clicks: atmosphere, service, and food all working in harmony. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Suree’s Kitchen to anybody and can’t wait to return.
Suree’s Kitchen – IronbridgeOnly the second time we have dined here at the Water Rat and it was as good as the first time. Attentive service from friendly helpful staff. As we are both Dairy Free and my wife also Gluten Free it is always difficult to have choices when eating out. The Chef was very flexible and our meals were not only very tasty but SAFE. Waiter & Waitress made sure they checked with us TWICE before serving our meals. Great service highly recommend particularly if you have an allergy.
Water Rat – IronbridgeThe monkfish starter was incredible; steak was “fine” (not exemplary) but the vibe of the evening was good.
Ribeye Shrewsbury – ShrewsburyMy wife and I had dinner here last Tuesday. We were very pleased with the food-nicely cooked with some innovations too . Staff were delightful-very pleasant and efficient.
The White Hart – IronbridgeWhat a wonderful addition to Shrewsbury! I took my partner here this week for his birthday, and it did not disappoint. The steak was cooked to perfection and utterly delicious. The service was great, and we weren't at all rushed in any way. We will be returning!
The Gate – ShrewsburyLovely atmosphere, food was delicious. We enjoyed the Sunday roast dinner. Service was excellent and dogs were welcomed, so a big bonus for us.
